Idaho Farm Freedom Act: Hemp Decriminalization

Purpose: By the passing of this Act, the State of Idaho shall rightfully interpose (on behalf of the people who reside on the State and the farms and industries which do business within its borders), and assume A “Power” (10th Amendment reference) which was not delegated to the United States of America(s) general government in the Constitution or its Amendments, NOR prohibited by The Constitution of the State of Idaho. The interposition shall be specifically in regards to the United States of America(s) claim on the power to enforce prohibition on the production, improvement, sale and use of Hemp.

WHERAS- The Constitution of the United States… specifically enumerates the authority given - by the States - to the United States of America(s) general government, AND of those specifically enumerated powers, the power to prohibit a manufacture, sale or use of any product or crop was not included, AND this limitation of power was well understood when the 18th Amendment (Alcohol Prohibition) was passed and later repealed (21st Amendment), AND no such Amendment since has changed the original authority to Federally prohibit any good.

WHERAS- Hemp was a staple crop during colonial times, grown for many uses, including the manufacture of paper, including the paper the Declaration of Independence was written on.

WHEREAS- Hemp, although related to marijuana, does not produce a significant enough amount of THC to be considered and option by those who seek intoxication.

WHERAS- Hemp grows very well in the State of Idaho, AND requires very little fertilizer, AND required very little pesticide, AND offers farmers another option for crop rotation.

WHERAS- A hemp industry will provide many jobs in the State of Idaho in the farming industry, AND in the health industry, AND in the industrial sector, AND in general provide an entirely new economic opportunity(s) to the whole state.

WHERAS- Hemp seeds, very nutritious containing very high ratios of protein, AND contains a near complete Amino Acid profile, AND is high in essential fatty acids such as Omega 3s, AND hemp fats are saturated and undamaged, therefore entirely useable to the human body, AND are a source of many other vitamins and minerals essential to the human body.

WHERAS- Hemp oils, can be ingested by humans as a base of salad dressings (amongst many uses), AND is known to aid in the healing of eczema, AND is an anti-inflammatory, AND has many other beneficial uses.

WHERAS- Hemp fiber has many uses which are not limited to- Building products, paper, clothing, animal bedding, waste water and soil purification, automotive body panels, hemp Crete, hemp plastic, AND etc.

WHERAS- Hemp is the most renewable and sustainable of all industrial farm and food products.

WHEREAS- The production and sale of hemp, and hemp products is legal in most industrial, “first world” countries.

The State of Idaho SHALL, interpose between the US government and the People, to protect and defend the People who reside on the State of Idaho, and the industries and farms which do business within the borders of the State of Idaho against any aggression, whether physical, financial or otherwise, by the United States of America, government’s agents or agencies which attempt to enforce a prohibition on the agricultural production or refinement of hemp based products. State and county agencies which may be called upon to enforce this interposition are (but not limited to)- The State Police, County Sheriffs, City Police, the State Department of Commerce, The State Attorney General’s office, the state Department of Agriculture, and the People. The State of Idaho assumes this “Power,” justly and in accordance with the 10th Amendment to the Constitution. Further the State of Idaho reserves the right for commerce of hemp based goods, across state lines, as an exercise of “regular commerce.”

The Wars and Rumors of Wars GOP Debate

In last night's debate, there was a lot of talk of war, no fly zones and sanctions. Sanctions appealed to most of the candidates as a reasonable solution, so let us reason.

Sanctions are just an early stage of war. They are a political barricade, intended to starve out an enemy. In simple theory, playing Age of Empires (a computer game), it makes a lot of sense; but in the real world, it is just fuel for the propagandist. If we want to lose any good will toward the west that remains in Iran, by all means, starve them ...or should I say, try to starve them, because China and Russia will not play ball. They will not oppose the sanctions, but they will profit from them as they will buy goods at a lower price based upon the politically imposed demand reduction, and sell at a higher price as they are the only ones big enough to cross our sanction lines without the threat of being invaded. Sanctions sound all peaceful and such but you have got to look at the whole food chain, and the unintended consequences. Newt's, Perry’s, Mitt’s and Herman’s plans to sanction will not harm Iran, but will grow their hate for us deep into the fabric of their culture. We face the very real probability of alienating their people who are still sympathetic to the west right now. Their plan will also make China and Russia richer and strengthen the alliance between the three nations through trade. Trade always makes people friends. If we force them to trade with Russia and China we strengthen their friendship, and reliance upon each other. With reliance comes the desire to defend. Bottom line, sanctions do nothing positive for the US, but they do make Iran a lot stronger through new and stronger friendships with powerful buddies. We are about ready to step in it again.

Just Don't Skin the Cat!

One question I ask people who are beating the war drum on Iran is: Has our policy regarding the Middle East since 1954 (subversive overthrowing of leaders, diluting Israel's sovereignty via the UN and US demands for multi-lateral negotiations, outright invasion, occupation of lands and trade sanctions) improved the situation or made it worse? I think just about everyone will acknowledge we have made a mess of things, but a lot of people think if we only micromanaged the affairs of others differently, things would be better. I scoff, as the unintended consequences abound. We installed Saddam and he turned on us or we on him (depending on the congressional testimony you choose to listen to); we funded Osama, the fruit soured, and we killed Kadaffi and now the Al Qaeda flag flies over some of the buildings. We have used a mink glove at times and an Iron Boot at others. We have offered lobster tail under some leaders and made them eat dirt under others; alas the song remains the same.

Not only have none of these methods worked, but they have changed us, the America of today is not the one of our Founders. We have lost our compassion and justified those we kill as acceptable collateral damage because our intentions, we are told, are noble. We can justify our actions or ignore the brutal reality that the TV screen does not sanitize death. We sing the Battle Hymn or God Bless America, and turn it into a patriotic affair, all while the fear merchants (useful idiots for the terrorists) play their theme song, "We'll stick a boot up your ass it's the American way." Really? Is that the American way? Whether one claims to be a Christian or not, only a fool rejects the fact that our country is based upon Christian morality. Would Jesus sing that theme song? Is that the country God would bless? Do the fundamental ethics of man change with the times? NO. It is time to return to the prime ethos of kindergarten, keep your hands to yourself.

From 10,000 feet-Any time a “debate” is held, wherein the questions asked of the candidates are not the same question, the observer must look closely at the questions asked and consider the possibility of an engineered or staged outcome. Last night’s “debate”, was the epitome of that concept. Some questions were hard balls and some were quite soft, but the equity and quality of the questions certainly begged.

Another consideration, an observer must account for is, some of the candidates have a record and others speak out of idealism. In this day of the drive by media, a candidate’s record - even if it is sound – can be most often cleverly demagoged; but alas this is the nature of politics in a nation where the people are delinquent in the pursuit of the truth. Further, being without a record provides a candidate the opportunity to speak not from experience but draw from the abstract; nothing to defend and a hypothetical world of idealistic utopia. This sort of dynamic handed Barrack Obama the Presidency in ’08.

Based upon those considerations my first grade goes to Fox News, they earn a D-

The Candidates-

Ron Paul- The questions aimed at Ron Paul were certainly tactically designed to damage. They were loaded with far more content than could be addressed properly in the allotted one minute response time. Although, Dr. Paul answered the questions and did not hurt himself, if anything his gain was small. It is no secret Dr. Paul is not the greatest orator of our time, and I think this may hurt him in the long run, considering the importance of superficial polish and charisma in this age of national politics. In a split field this may prove to be an asset in the long run however, as a certain group of people might find commonality with a real person, rather than a Ken Doll. Dr. Paul’s score B

Herman Cain- The questions asked of Cain were the softest in the field. The hardest question asked of him was the one on the flat tax. The question was phrased, in a manner as to sound tough, but this area is Herman’s specialty, and he nailed it for the republican crowd. Consider however, since the flat tax/fair tax is one of the most favorable topics amongst republicans, and since the IRS is the most hated institution on the face of the earth, is there any way Cain could bomb that question? In my opinion at times Cain got a little “evangelical” in his presentation, but in this day and age style and substance are interchangeable. To honestly score Cain in this debate, we must handicap his performance with the difficulty of the questions asked. Cain’s score B

Tim Pawlenty- The questions asked of Tim were amongst the hardest of the field. I really don’t know why Fox decided to smash him like they did, perhaps he was the sacrifice to the gods of journalistic equity; you know to make it all look fair. Either way, Pawlenty flamed out. Although I listened closely to every thing he said, I found myself hitting the “skip back” button on the DVR because his body language distracted me. To sum it up, Tim Pawlenty reminded me of a poor attempt at an impression of Will Farrell impersonating George W. Bush. Stick a fork in Pawlenty. Even though the questions were bangers I can not handicap him to a higher score; a snowman is a snowman. F

Rick Santorum- Rick’s questions were pretty soft, and his answers were typical; no gain or loss based upon content. I hate to draw two comparisons to past figures in one article, but Santorum reminded me of a young John McCain. He was stiff in the neck, shoulders and arms; his hand gestures were abbreviated. I know this is superficial but I think unless he changes that and loosens up people will record the commonality subconsciously and look poorly upon him. His score C-

Gary Johnson- Gary got a bad shake in this debate. They ignored him and phrased questions in a no win way. It is quite obvious Fox wants Gary out of there. He did a nice job being forthright and no-nonsense with his answers (even his abortion stance), which people appreciate, but on the flipside of that an impression of dryness came through. Gary is going to have a rough time, especially in this type of a forum. Considering the handicap Gary gets a C-

My Senate Committie Testimony for HB-117 (Obamacare Nullification)

Mr. Chairman, Committee members,

Today you are going to hear a lot about the foundation of our country, the Constitution, the Tenth Amendment, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison and their Kentucky and Virginia resolutions of 1798, as well as the proper role of the states in a republic. I will spare you the redundancy in advance, but I ask you to listen closely as each of these people speak. Listen and swell with pride or shrink in fear, for what you are about to hear represents the awakening of America; the people of this state are no longer silent nor ignorant to the Constitution, and it is your sworn role and duty to uphold it.

Today, it is also likely you will hear from some self proclaimed experts on the Constitution. They will site obscure case law, and court opinions rather than the very plainly worded Constitution. They will do this because they know you have neither the time nor perhaps the expertise to dig up the relevance of their claims amongst the millions of pages and billions of words, of “legal precedence” handed down by judges most likely appointed by a politician. I remind you that opinion does not equate to Law and does not supersede the Constitution. However, if opinion did carry weight, I would put my money on the opinion of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Able Upshur, over those opinions of the Idaho Attorney General’s office, Barrack Obama or a self endowed Constitutional expert.

Today, we consider the nullification of Obamacare, so that the state may be spared the implementation cost of over 228 million dollars we just do not have. Further, the people of this state are overwhelmingly at disfavor with the eventuality of being forced to buy into an insurance pool of socialized medicine. A pool where there money could go to provide abortions, hormone treatment to the transgendered and who knows what else, the administrative authority, (who have great leash in Obamacare) might dream up. The people will be forced to buy into this plan, rather than being free to buy food for their kids, send their kids to non-government schools, give to the needy, or whatever they need or want. The bottom line is the concept of Liberty is that man is not owned by the state; Obamacare kills Liberty by claiming your property; which is a byproduct of your life.

Furthermore, the damage to the state is understated in the 228 million dollars. The compliance costs to business will be huge, as if things are not bad enough as it is with the IRS, State Tax commission, the County revenuers, OSHA, the DOT, DEQ, EPA, and so on. Business is buried in red tape with huge costs of compliance, which inevitably end up in the cost of goods, but in the end do not equate to a higher GDP; it is effort and capital expense with nothing produced.

For these reasons, every member of the Idaho house and senate should do everything within their power to eliminate Obamacare. We the people of Idaho would expect you to take even the wildest chances to do so. However, Jeffersonian Nullification is not a wild chance, it is the rightful remedy to unconstitutional law. If you do not stand and pass H117 on to the full senate with a DO PASS recommendation, you are effectively killing a Republic, in which the representatives are not the rulers of the people but rather the keepers of the law. But instead and installing a representative oligarchy, which is arbitrary law and Liberty is vulnerable to the whim of the elected. If you pass this on with a do pass recommendation, you may someday tell your grandchildren how you saved America. If you don’t you will surely feel shame. The gravity of this day is great.

"Hang Ten" Obama Respects Nullification

In a startling turn of events today, the Obama Administration has chosen not to defend the Constitutionality of the Federal, “Defense of Marriage Act” (1996). While this might be somewhat unsettling to the morals of many, there is certainly a silver lining to this storm cloud from Washington.

Several states have recently passed either blatant “Gay Marriage” laws or Civil Union Laws, including President Obama’s claimed home state of Hawaii. These states (including The District of Columbia) have done so in direct defiance of the 1996 Federal Law which was overwhelmingly passed, 342-67 and 85-14, and signed into law by then President Bill Clinton. This outright resistance to Federal Law, by these states, baffles most people who were educated in government schools. We were told the Federal Government is the supreme authority and the states are little more than administrative districts. That line of thought however is not based in logic nor does it have historical standing. One concept that is poorly taught in government schools is that the United States are States; we are not the United Administrative Districts of Columbia. When our Union was re-founded under the Constitution, terms and conditions of the Union were set and clearly described in the Constitution. The several States, which were (and are) as sovereign as France and Spain, came together and created a mutually beneficial general government, wherein they ceded certain and specific powers to that general government, which were clearly defined in the Constitution and the first ten amendments; The Bill of Rights. It was very clear from the beginning of the union that the States had no intention to cede all their powers, since the people in each state were different; they had different ideas on governance and different state religions. They had no intentions of allowing the new government the authority to meddle in social matters. The States were so adamant about this fact that they demanded the Tenth Amendment which states-

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

In other words, if it is not written it is not said (the first rule of contract) and the States keep all the powers not mentioned; this goes for the administration of marriage.

Based upon the obvious nature of our Constitution, it should be clear that the Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 is an act outside the powers assigned to the general government in the Constitution; it is unconstitutional. Furthermore, states like Hawaii who ignored the federal law, and made their own Civil Union law, in blatant rebellion to the Federal Government, are fully within their rights as a state to do so. I know that statement is going to ruffle a few feathers on moral lines, and I am certainly not endorsing gay marriage (I don’t think the government has any business in the marriage business but that is a different matter). The principle of the matter is what is important here, who has the right to make a law on marriage? If the Tenth Amendment stands true, it is the “…States or the people.”

The silver lining within this turn of events; States rights are alive and well! Hawaii nullified federal law by passing one of their own, obtuse to DMA-1996. Although Hawaii did not follow the exact Jeffersonian principles described clearly in the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798, the outcomes are the same; the states interposed lawfully. Furthermore, with the Obama administration’s cease order, in regards to enforcement of the gay marriage laws, the principle of nullification in the modern day is strengthened (perhaps by accident). Although the modern precedence is kind of neat, the “Principles of ’98,” stand on their own as their Constitutional orthodoxy is as firmly moored to the history of our country as the men that wrote them; Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, the author of the Declaration of Independence and the Father of the Constitution. Today “Hang Ten” has a new meaning to me; the Tenth Amendment is Alive and well. I look forward to the day when the Federal government gives up hopes of defending the very unconstitutional Obamacare.

My Testimony FOR HB-117 (Obamacare Nullification)

Mr. Speaker, committee members.
The Constitution of the United States is a document that outlines the function of the Federal government and assigns specific powers to that government. The branches, are specifically limited in jurisdiction to these enumerated powers. The Tenth Amendment further amplifies the limitations of the Federal government when it says,

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

This Amendment is often referred to as the, “States Rights Amendment”, it is much more than that; it is also the peoples rights Amendment. The phrase “or to the people,” must not be ignored!

When a law is made by the Federal government, in an area that is in conflict with the Constitution or in an area where Constitution is silent, the states must not remain silent. So often are they silent, a term was spawned to describe it; “Implied consent.” Implied consent is often a result of, implied or specific threats, by the Federal Government. However, even if a state is silent there is still the matter of “the people”, and their right to “The powers not delegated”. In this case if Idaho does not nullify this law and chooses to remain silent, according to the Tenth, “the people” can grasp the power. Alas this Constitutional power of the people is unlikely to stand in the face of the most powerful National government in the history of mankind; the US government. Alone a person acting in full accordance with The Constitution may be forced to conform.

Thomas Jefferson said in the Kentucky Resolution, “The states are duty bound to resist.” However, I would say the states are duty bound not to remain silent. The state of Idaho must either nullify this law or formally accept it, for silence serves only to place the people, that may act fully within their rights, according to the Tenth Amendment, in harms way.

It is regretful, and too often at the expense of the Blessings of Liberty, the States fail to rightfully act and throw off laws and judicial rulings handed down by the National government; those laws and rulings which clearly lie outside the boundaries of the General Government described in The Constitution of the United States of America. Such inaction by the States and People may find its genesis in many accounts; be they unfamiliarity with the specific meaning of The Constitution in full orthodoxy; be they desirous of the temporary general felicity, inaction brings the perception thereof; be they fear of unconstitutional economic sanction by the General government; or be they agents of Nationalism which The Constitution of the United States of America specifically and purposefully rejects. Regardless the purpose, the very Liberty of the People, for which its securing was the specific purpose of the Constitution, is the casualty either by gradual erosion or sweeping claims of undue power over the People or the States by the General Government.

It is pure folly for one to think the perpetual union of the States and the fate of our Republic, as built by our founders should be entrusted to one man or a mere nine, knowing the corruptibility and the lust for power men are known to have. Would it be part of our Founders design to leave the Supreme Law, The Constitution, vulnerable to reinterpretation and revision by a few men posing as sages or the papacy of the Law? Indeed such assumed power to smelt and re-forge the law to suit the desires of a group, is the death of a Republic and the birth of an Oligarchy. For in a Republic, government is the keeper and enforcer of The Law. The Law is King, not the men within government, nor the ballot box. Would it be logical for one to think that a man or men may be so desirous of power that they sponsor confusion on the Law, with the truth of the original intent of the law so distorted that they declare for themselves, (perhaps with the endorsement of others) the Sage of the Law, thereby holding all the real power? The answer seems obvious, as we view the account of history. Concentrated supreme power in men ends in tyranny.

It is with sincere desire to preserve the Republic and the perpetual Union of the States; we do claim our Lawful, Righteous and reasonable rights as a state.

RESOLVED- We the Legislature of the State of Idaho, shall demand all pertinent claims of National supremacy in law, shall be derived from The Constitution of the United States of America interpreted by the most orthodox means only. These orthodox means shall include The Declaration of Independence (provides the Spirit of the Law and an outline of what conditions existed to warrant a revolution), The Constitution, viewed through the Preamble (its executive summary and mission statement), the Federalist and anti-Federalist Papers (the argument for and against provisions within the Constitution, with clarity), and period dictionaries (to provide the meaning of the words in the day they were written).

Case law and prior rulings by perhaps corruptible men of the courts shall carry no weight, unless the ruling is based upon full orthodoxy as described above.

RESOLVED- In the case of the Idaho Fire Arms Freedom Act, and the recent ruling against it in a Federal court by Judge Malloy, on the grounds of Federal Supremacy through the “Commerce Clause”, we do hereby claim his ruling, and any higher court ruling with the same justification, NULLIFIED based upon the improper usage of this clause. Additionally, the State of Idaho will only cede power to the National government under the “Commerce Clause”, when the National Government uses the law as it was intended, which was “to make regular” (period definition of the word regulate) “the commerce between the several states...” Any assumed power by the National government under the misinterpretation of this clause, will only be honored at the pleasure of the State. Furthermore, to strengthen our claim of specific NULLIFICATION against Judge Malloy’s ruling and any other higher court ruling in regards to the Idaho Fire Arms Freedom Act, it is worthy of note that the contradictory Federal laws are specifically and blatantly an usurpation of the Second Amendment, which states, “the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” It is inexcusable that the Second Amendment, which is so strongly worded and clearly focused on firearms, can be overruled by a completely unrelated clause that has been intentionally misused for political gain. For such illogic to stand as the rule of law, regardless of the Highness of the judge, is suicide for the Republic and would constitute malpractice of the legislature.

Choice in Education

Purpose-
The restoration of a parental sovereignty, so that they may direct the education of their child, without monetary penalty or political prejudice.

This can be partially accomplished by returning the fullness of choice in education to all parents and children. As it currently stands in the State of Idaho, parents can choose to home school or they can send their children to a private or charter school. However, opting out of the State sponsored education system currently brings with it a huge financial penalty in tuitions and additional fees. Accordingly, only the children of the more wealthy families or families that choose to sacrifice other personal luxury have the ability to teach their children at home or attend institutions that offer a higher level of educational opportunities or better suits the needs of the child (as determined by the person who can best judge a child individually; the parent). This class prejudice certainly limits the educational opportunities of lower income households, single parents and minorities to name a few. This apparent imbalance can be remedied two ways.

The Statist solution- Outlaw private schools, charter schools and home schooling. This solution would demand an equal opportunity to mediocrity. Obviously this would guarantee an equal state sponsored means of education but not guarantee an equal ends or outcome. This solution, although “fair” is not in line with the principals of freedom, upon which our nation or state was founded.

The second option (the favorable option) would be to allow each parent the discretion to spend the education dollars allocated for their child in the way they think best suits the needs of the child individually. This method would ensure each parent and child an equal footing on their quest of education and ultimately their “Pursuit of Happiness.”

Proposal outline

Funding- The source of the funding for education for the time being shall remain as it is; a disproportionate levy from the citizens placed into the fund for the collective, and sales of state owned natural resources, such as timber. Additional funding is received from the National Government. The Constitutionality and efficiency of National funding are not addressed in this proposal.

Distribution- Each parent (if they choose to exercise the their Liberty) will receive a check or automatic deposit in account (in the amount of the state median education allocation for the child at appropriate grade level), bimonthly to use as a medium of exchange that the parent may use to fulfill the State’s stated educational objective standards for a student of the appropriate grade level, either solely (claimed as regular income in the case of a home school parent) or by sub-contract (Private School). The State’s only concern is that of, “Investment=Objective.” If a parent or private school (in cooperation with the student) perform in an efficient enough manor to achieve the standard educational objective in less hours or days than customary, the State remains dis-interested in the students/private institutions use of the “surplus time.”

Qualifications- (home school) Each parent that actively participates in home schooling and receives state dollars, must have a minimum GED qualification, and may only teach their child, natural or legally adopted. Parents may join in groups and teach in groups, with minimum requirements but one parent without teaching credentials may not teach groups of kids without the other parents present. Each parent must yield to random drug testing; positive test will result in discontinuation of funding.

Qualifications (private school) - All core curriculums must be taught by a properly documented teacher; no such requirements are considered on non-core classes or electives. Since the state is paying the parents directly rather than the state all classes, religious or otherwise are exempt from state oversight. Each teacher must yield to a background check and random drug testing.

Standardized testing-Each child must take a standardized test at the beginning and end of each school year, as a means to judge performance and as a comparison to other children of equal age and grade level. Comparative performance evaluation will determine individually, the continued funding each child’s non-state education (performance based). Private schools performance evaluation will be judged on the same scale as public schools and any probationary action will not exceed that of a public school. Home school parents that do not receive funding are not bound to this arrangement.

Diploma- The State will issue a standardized diploma to all students that complete the required objective curriculum, without implied discrimination or special document designation such as GED.

The Case for Choice

Anytime money is taken from the public whether proportionately or disproportional their must be a purpose for the seizure of the funds. We have taken for granted that education is a worthy cause, however the word education itself is subjective to the point of being liquid. What I mean by liquid is that whoever is in charge of the administration of education can determine what is of value, and what is not, based upon their individual values; money flows like liquid to serve their wants. What we are in dire need of is an objective, Objective. We must define what education is exactly, in order to “justify” the seizure of money from those who would otherwise be free to give or spend what they have earned in other ways that perhaps meet their values more closely. An objective is essential in any governmental affair whether it be war or education…what does victory look like? Of course each state has the right to design its objective; either minimalist or extravagant. Whatever the objective is it must not have vague statements like “instill values” and “social preparation” for those objectives are ones of the family and not the state.

Benefits of Education Choice

Monetary- It is proven in every case, the free market drives innovation progression and reduces costs; traits governmental monopolies invert as proven. As better methods are discovered and as the wheat is separated from the chaff only the best and most efficient will be teaching.

Economic- With many parents of elementary students choosing to stay home and educate their kids, many jobs would open up, driving the unemployment rate down and likely wages up (shortage of supply means prices go up). Additionally this wide spread distribution of earned money will move through the economy unfettered by governmental and union cronyism. Choice in education means jobs.

Family Values- It is quite normal in this day and age for both parents to work, leaving only a few hours of interaction in the evenings. This has broken the family apart. Many working moms bring home a mere pittance after the cost of child care and transportation is accounted for. With an allowance of $7000 per child a mother of three might just stay home to teach her own kids for a few years; years that will never come again.

Less legal drugs (ADD) - Almost everyone agrees Ritalin if the most over prescribed drug in the world. It is often prescribed as an alternative to discipline, to control an unruly child (mostly boys).

Less Illegal drugs – Children are largely a blank slate. Humans in general have very few natural instincts; therefore there behavior is determined by observing the behavior and interaction of other humans. One instinct humans have however is the desire to love and be loved. An assumed prerequisite to love is acceptance, therefore children crave the acceptance of other children, but they must learn how to be accepted. Children gain the understanding of how to be accepted from their parents their peers and popular culture. This is where quantity of impression often over rides the quality of advice. In other words inexperienced kids learn more from other inexperienced kids and popular culture, then they do from the wisdom of their parents; they spend so much more time observing the former than the latter. Behavior is developed by monkey see monkey do. Drug use alcohol use, sexual promiscuity, bullying are all unquestionably detrimental to the physical and psychological well being of a child, and not a result of parental advice. The monopoly of state controlled education forces, particularly the lower class children into this self perpetuating sociological disaster.

Reduce “hard” curriculum- Hard or physical curriculum such as text books are expensive to produce and become quickly out dated. Alternative education, free of state mandates may use online curriculum to achieve the educational objectives.

Reduce Capital expenses and maintenance- Public schools have massive overhead. Buildings, maintenance, lighting, heating cooling, busses, other vehicles, insurance of all kinds, are just a few examples. Any government program once inception takes upon a life of its own. Almost human, it has two desires, protection and growth. Naturally the larger it grows the less manageable it becomes. Lacking competition it casts off the shackles of accountability in times of plenty and expands far beyond the ability to maintain itself in times of shortage. The free market manages growth decisions by forecasting, perhaps influencing, human choice, and reacting to human action.

Improve the outcome- Free market education consistently and significantly out performs its public counterpart. In this case the ends should mandate the means.

More educated parents- Home school parent particularly find great value and enrichment while preparing a lesson plan or teaching a child. Both parent and child win in this arrangement.

Population Growth (the right kind) – Any legislation effects economic growth positively or negatively; but all growth is not good. For instance, several states are in the process of using their legal prerogative to nullify unconstitutional federal drug laws, by legalizing marijuana. This will have two effects: people who want to use marijuana without threat of legal action will move in and those who do not wish to live in a “high society” will move out. Perhaps the exchange in numerical population will be equal but will the economic effect be equal? Will the net production of the state be improved by this exchange? Logic gives us an answer that will most certainly be disputed by the “social engineers”; I’ll choose logic. Likewise will the Choice in Education option affect the demographics of our state. As I have experienced over the years, the quality of schools is one of the top factors when a person makes a real estate buying decision. In turn I believe, the freedom for a parent to choose the environment and ultimately influence the destiny of their child will also play a strong role when deciding which state to call home. One who makes a decision with these factors in mind and opts for freedom, is more likely to bring with them an industrious nature and moral convictions.

Sentinels of the Republic Foundations

We the Sentinels of the Republic, recognize two primary documents as the foundation for our beliefs in matters pertaining to government and the People. Those two documents are, The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States (including the first ten amendments; The Bill of Rights).

The Declaration of Independence serves as witness and record to posterity, that man is born with “certain Unalienable Rights” granted by God, not by man or by government, and that any infringements upon these rights are not just to be frowned upon but a cause for a fight to the death. Furthermore we recognize The Declaration enumerates specific grievances against the King. These specific grievances were laid out in an orderly fashion, not only for the King and for the sovereign People of the several States, but for the generations to come, that we may know exactly what a tyranny looks like and weigh all laws, taxes and governmental actions against this picture of a tyranny. We also believe that, the signers of The Declaration by its strength of its words and their mark of signature and endorsement, left no doubt that the principles and charges within, were so important, their very lives were worth forfeiting in the purpose of the advancement of its principles. The Declaration of Independence is the mission statement of the United States of America, the spirit of its people and the most orthodox document on record when the “spirit” or intent of The Constitution is in question.

The Constitution of the United States of America is the foundation of our Republic. In a Republic the “Law is King” and not government officers or representatives. In the US, The Constitution is King and the only supreme authority in matters between man, the States and the national government. It is imperative to understand that The Constitution is a compact between the States by the People. It’s a written understanding of how they (the states and the People) will relate to their created being, their servant; the national government. It is also very important to understand that the States created the national government not the inverse and that it was only created, after each state agreed.

In a case such as ours, where the power is held in an inanimate object, those who lust for power find refuge in word-smithing, revisionism and legal jargon as a means to confuse the people and seize power. They wish for you to believe that the document is “living” and will change with the times or they would like you to believe it is too complicated fro the common man to grasp; neither is true. As evidenced by the historical record, The Constitution was written for the common man to understand, and each word was chosen painstakingly as not to be misunderstood or convoluted to serve the desires of a tyrant. Understanding this, we must specify quite simply how The Constitution must be interpreted in full orthodoxy.

The most primary sources for Constitutional interpretation

1) The Declaration of Independence (see prior)

2) The Preamble to The Constitution. This often ignored segment of the Constitution is probably the most important. The Preamble is the Executive Summary. Any interpretation of the Constitution that conflicts with the Preamble is quite suspect. For instance, the excerpt, “…secure the Blessings of Liberty”, tell us three things…Blessings are from God, hence the capitalization, Liberty is a gift from God, and first and foremost the Constitution is set apart to SECURE the Blessings of Liberty. Secure is a strong word indeed and notably chosen over the word “promote” which is also used in The Preamble.

3) Documents, letters and meeting minutes of discussions on The Constitution, recorded BEFORE its ratification, ONLY. These documents include, The Federalist Papers, the Anti-Federalist Papers, The Articles of Confederation and such. It is important that we exclude writings from any of the founders after the date of ratification, no matter how artfully written. Revisionism started the day after ratification.

4) Period dictionaries- Our language changes with each generation. Strong words become weak and visa-versa. As mentioned before, every word was carefully chosen in the Constitution and the Declaration, therefore we must not assume modern day meanings are accurate. One such instance is in what is known as the “Commerce Clause.” In that clause the word regulate was used. Today regulate is synonymous with control or overlord, however in the day of the Constitution it meant, “to make regular; the meaning is astonishingly different.

Finally, it is important to grasp that The Constitution involves three parties: The Sovereign People of the States, The States and the created being, the United States National government. The Constitution enumerates certain powers that the National government must carry out, and strictly forbids any activity beyond those prescribed limits. Furthermore the Constitution also reserves any other imaginable power, to the States or the People. As an amplification to the intent of the Constitution, The Bill of Rights was added to protect the People and the States from the National government, and the People from injustice from the States as well.

Phil Hart Ethics Hearing (an open letter to Rep Jaquet)

Dear Rep. Jaquet, (An open letter)

I was one of those in attendance for the Phil Hart ethics hearing, and listened intently for the duration of the hearings. My first observation during the hearing was, I actually felt a bit sorry for you. After the reading of the professionally ambiguous “charges” levied by the democrat minority leader, it was fairly obvious you were the one who had to defend these baseless accusations. The leader put you in a bad spot, and I hope you will let him know; for your own sake.

Although this hearing should have never taken place, the facts came out and the charges against Rep. Hart were soundly put down on all accounts; that was probably a good thing overall. However, the reason I write to you today is in regards to the tack you took once the facts and evidence made your position, a loser. I was shocked to hear that you were willing to vote to reprimand Mr. Hart, not based upon fact, but based upon “public perception.” As a side note Rep. Jaquet, you did not even provide a reference or supporting evidence to substantiate a negative public perception, so at best it is implied public perception; a weak case indeed. Furthermore, public perception may or may not be based upon facts, and most likely will be corrupted by prejudices. More often than not “perception” is formed by little snippets from the media. If implied perception be the essence of justice should we not just skip the legislature and the courts and just let those who generate perceptions (the owners of the newspapers, websites and TV stations), rule in all affairs? The point of this hearing was not to imply perception, or deliver an informal referendum from your constituents, but seek the truth and marry it up to the law; that is justice.

I was also troubled to hear the other two members of the democrat party on the panel parrot your sentiment (Rep. George Sayler Dist. 4 and William Killen Dist. 17). Rep Sayler even flatly stated, “Perception is reality.” Wow! Perhaps this is a “teachable moment” for the public. Perhaps the difference between the (D) and the (R) are manifest in this principal. Does a democrat believe that public perception should rule as law even if it is unjust? I know the essence of republicanism is the exact opposite. Its credo is one of written law, above any one man or group of men; one which holds in check the tyrant and the lynch mob alike.

Finally, I find your preference to perception over truth, inconsistent with a member of an ethics committee. I find no place for feelings or implied perceptions, in such a privileged position; the truth is all that matters. Had you your way, a great injustice would have taken place today to one of Idaho’s brightest sons. In light of that I would ask you resign your position on the committee.

BUY and READ NULLIFICATION!!!! ASAP!!!!

Below is a letter I composed, intended for our State reps and senators; a plea for them to read the EXELLENT book "Nullification". My Barnabas, told me it was too long so I wrote another very short version, and sent it to them. I left this attachment in the letter just in case I did not make the sale with brevity.

Dear Representative,

I humbly beg your attention on a matter of the utmost importance; the preservation of the Union of the United States.

It is no secret there is much discord amongst the people these days. I assert that much of this general sentiment is a deliberate attempt by despots to sew the seeds of dissent, and who wish to install a different Order over man. . Regardless of intent or lack thereof, we, as a nation, are nonetheless eroding into a centralized government with the power far out of reach of the people and the States that formed the Union. Despite the fact that central powers, either in a Nation or Religion, have spawned the greatest inhumanities of the histories, such a great and powerful behemoth is not what is described in our founding documents; The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution and Bill of Rights. I fear as we continue down this road of despair and hopelessness, small insurrections will come to pass, as desperate men, out of options and hope, attempt in vain to throw off the chains of legal injustice. I PRAY this day does not come! I am quite certain, however, that when God answers our petitions, he does not manifest his power through a lightning bolt, but rather through the hearts and minds of Man. Considering that observation and before you consider my request, I humbly ask you to consider this verse:

James 1:5-6 (NIV) 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

My personal definition of “wisdom” is: The ability to disseminate the Truth. The Truth exists in every aspect of matter, energy and awareness (life); finding the Truth is wisdom.

I submit “based upon the Truth” being an objective term, that there is a Truth concerning the meaning and intent of the Constitution of the [u]nited States of America. This intent is not reserved for the sage or barrister but rather in plain sight for all to discover. The literal intent of our founders is no secret, as they flatly and simply expounded so many times, and as they eloquently bloviated for volumes to satisfy the wordsmiths and tyrants in waiting who sought to morph its meaning even in their time. The Constitution was for the common man.

The Constitution is a contract/compact between the States to form a general government with very specific enumerated powers. The enumeration of these powers was done specifically and clearly to act as a final limit to the power and reach of the general government; all other powers and rights are reserved for the “States, or the People.” The very specificity of these enumerated powers is the first evidence to a logical mind that the ambiguous redefinition of certain terms within the Constitution such as “regulate” (Commerce Clause) and “General Welfare”, are nothing more than an attempt to usurp and redirect the power this document carries to a despot or tyrant. One note of utmost importance is the fact that the States voluntarily formed the Union, and that a State by 18th century definition means nation; sovereign in all intents and purposes, and the Union was meant to serve the common interests of the States and not to be their master. As evidenced by many of the founder’s writings, their greatest fear was the created ‘being’ or entity (the general government) would live on its own and seek to destroy its master; to use my own analogy like Frankenstein’s monster killing his master.

For the sake of brevity and courtesy for your time I will make an assumption that you will likely agree with and then make my final plea for investigative action and intellectual investment on your part. My assumption is that the general government (National, Federal or whatever you wish to call it), has on countless occasions stepped outside its prescribed limits, by the establishment of laws, resolutions, treaties, administrations and so forth. For whatever the intent of the unconstitutional laws, either holy or unholy, this usurpation of authority has largely been unchecked, and metastasized into an unsustainable gauntlet of regulation and granted privilege. I could go on but such a rant would be redundant with undeniable evidence at every turn of the head. Perhaps this is death by a thousand paper cuts, but death nonetheless.

We are taught that the Supreme Court is the ultimate arbiter for a dispute of constitutionality of an action of the Federal Government that harms a State or a person in the State. Any reasonable mind would immediately see the obvious and absurd conflict of interest this form of dispute resolution offers since the Supreme Court is a part of the Federal Government. Although we are taught they are a non-political entity of Sages, the simplest mind should see through such a façade simply by watching a confirmation hearing. The Kagan confirmation hearings show there need not be a more grotesque comedy to make the case in point. So if the Supreme Court is not supreme, then who is??? Did the founders leave us at an impasse in justice? Was a virus imbedded in our form of government? Absolutely not! The power belongs to the States; the creator of the agency that is the US government. I do not make this claim out of arbitrary whim but based upon the utmost orthodox sources fathomable; the writings AND actions of the very architects of this nation…Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. They foresaw such an impasse in justice and wrote quite clearly about it. Their solution; Nullification, as it was later called was the summation of “The Principals of ‘98”, and the summary word for the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions. I beg of you to NOT simply Google these resolutions and read the modern day nationalistic commentary. I ask you to invest in some critical knowledge. I ask you to buy the book Nullification; How to Resist Federal Tyranny in the 21st Century”, by best selling author Thomas Woods. Please note, I have neither affiliation nor investment in any kind to Dr. Woods. My investment is in America only, and she will profit from my request.

So what does this mean to you Mr./Mrs. Representative? It means YOU are the kingpin that will hold fast or rust and break. It means you are not only a keeper of municipal things but the keeper of the Union. It means you are our agent of protection against Federal tyranny. It means you are to thank for the preservation of the Union and the protection of our Liberty; or to be damned for their loss. I remind you that ignorance is no excuse for an intellectually capable person, but rather an indictment of character.

Statism and Emissions (An open letter to Governor Otter)

Dear Governor Otter (an open letter),

I have voted for you in every general election since I was old enough to vote. Years, ago my vote was based simply upon the fact that Republicans, on the whole, typically stand for the principals of individual liberty and responsibility more so than the Democrats; I really did not know much about you beyond that. Since then I have put on a couple decades of knowledge and wisdom, and I must say that I am a bit confused, concerning your actions and inactions.

Back when you were a congressman you wrote a forward to a pamphlet by Ezra Taft Benson, “The Proper Role of Government.” I read this pamphlet for the first time several months ago and I was a bit surprised, after reading the very eloquent direct and liberty minded, that it was written by you. I would encourage you to go back and re-read your fine words, as well as the co-forward by Professor John T. Wenders (world renown University of Idaho economics professor), who I was fortunate enough to study under. I ask you to do this with hopes you will rediscover your once apparent, spirit of Jefferson and Madison. In this rediscovery I hope you will stand, and use your Constitutional power as Governor, and resist every attempt by the National government to dissolve our borders both as a state and nation. I ask you to stand and lead the good people of Idaho, rejecting every assault, no matter how small or apparently benevolent, to the Constitution and 10th Amendment particularly. I know you are a good man, worthy of the power entrusted to you, now it is time to wield that power against the statists in DC. Was the reason you were born and given your blessings of office, to simply manage highway funding, or was it to help save America?

Pep talk aside, I would like you to consider throwing your weight around on a “small” issue with big implications to our states lower and middle class counties. A few months back Canyon County was forced (kicking and screaming) to comply with emissions testing on cars and trucks. Was it a coincidence this mandate happened during the worst economy of our lives? I would like you to consider the wealth represented in real dollars (as real as a paper dollar is anyway) that is being taken from our citizens not just in the fees to comply with the testing but in lost productivity, loss of other scarce funds, and loss in asset value.

Keeping a long topic relatively short, each person and business must take time from business or leisure and spend it complying with this regulation; this is a loss to the economy; subjective but tangible. Also consider the thousands of cars that do not pass, these ridiculous standards, either due to a particulate count or a check engine light (automatic fail). Each one of these un-needed repairs, usually no less than $200 and often $1000, is an assault on the very scarce funds available. What’s more, most of the cost of repairs goes directly to Detroit or where ever the parts are manufactured…money leaving the state! Another “unintended consequence” to this statist law is the evaporation of “real” wealth represented in the value of the thousands and thousands of cars valued under $2000. Consider many of these older modern cars have ECM’s engine control modules, in other words a computer an old computer. These computers malfunction and send error messages for stupid reasons; most owners of older cars simply live with the light on because you would be in the mechanic every week. Now consider if you have a check engine light on, and you wish to trade your car in, and the dealer knows it can not be licensed with that light on, and it will likely cost $1000 to fix it. Will they reduce the trade in value? They must. This scenario represents hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars in evaporated asset value in Canyon County alone. What will the National government do to remedy this? Likely another “Cash for Clunkers” program, one funded by the next generation; funded by those too young to vote. In this scenario again, money is leaving the state, due to a mandate from the National government, enriching the union companies in Detroit. I am convinced this is not by accident.

One could also apply the same thinking to many other National government mandated laws, like lead based paint certification, air conditioning refrigerant mandates and on and on. I ask you Butch to fight the small fight as well as the big ones. Every mandate is a liberty lost, and every mandate by the National government outside of their seventeen Constitutional powers, our republic of federated states fades.

Rebuke! For Your Silence Implies Consent

I am sure many of you have seen the stories the news lately about “Christian” militias. And I am sure many of you understand this is a direct frontal assault, not on the few people they are charging with a crime, but to Christians in general. But that is not all. Tea Party goers are reportedly racist and Janet Napolitano herself defines “right wing extremists” as the real terrorist threat. Barrack Hussein Obama as well, implied intellectual superiority over those who “cling to guns and religion,” in his campaign for president. However, aside from the obvious and blatant coordinated efforts of the media and inside the government, to imply certain groups of people in this nation are counter productive to the collective good, that’s not all. This multi million dollar campaign to own the weak minds of America is not the only tactic the left is using today; another is one carried out by lurkers and trolls on sites like this one, Face book and Twitter.

These lurkers and trolls have many tactics. Some pose as one of the crowd, spouting patriotic rah-rah, to gain acceptance. Once acceptance is granted their tactics take on many forms. For instance the other day I was reading some comments on Tom Tancredo’s Face book page. Most of the discussion was logical and organized around securing the borders and enforcing laws we already have on the books. Out of the blue a comment from an obviously anonymous name, spouted “I agree with you throw out all the beaners!” This post did not stay on the board long because the page was watched by its admin closely. However, had this been ignored and other trolls or true racists joined in, a picture of the page could be taken and used as implied evidence that those who want secure borders are pure racists.

Another example- On a Ning site, one regular blog poster began posting increasingly “off color” posts. One of them was, how you would go to hell if you married a person of a different color. He had many other posts that blatantly implied God did not like black people and such. Most of his blogs went without comment; likely a “don’t feed the trolls” mentality. I complained to the admin and explained my concerns. The response I got was just plain silly, “don’t worry he is just a religious zealot…I don’t want to infringe on his right to free speech.” My response was, “he has a right to speak, not to be heard.” A day later this guy published a blog stating how he was framed by the FBI, and was not involved in a 1990s bombing in the Middle East. He provided “official documents” with his name on them implicating him with terrorism and then denied involvement…WOW. After my next note to the site admin he was banned.

How should we respond to the tactical leftist and the true psycho? We must rebuke them and report them! Do not be drawn into an argument. If it is on your Face book page, respond with a rebuke and delete them, in other places simply rebuke them and report them to the admin. If the admin is un-responsive leave the site, but before you do, post a blog with the reason. Silence is consent.

Open Letter to Governor Butch Otter (Garvey Bonds)

Dear Governor,

I write you today on a matter of urgent concern. As I am sure you are aware the Idaho House of Representatives voted today to put the State in debt by allowing the use of a Garvey Bond to purchase land between Emmett and Boise. Irregardless of the constitutionality of this type of debt, I believe this type of spending, based upon assumed future income (from Washington DC) places our state in a position of great peril.

I am sure you are fully aware of the many instances the Federal Government has threatened to withhold “Federal funds” from the state, if we do not comply with their wishes. This type of bribery/extortion of course is a very effective way for the federal government to achieve implied consent, on laws that are clearly an infringement of the Tenth Amendment. Understanding the power of the purse as used in the past, how much more effective will this tactic be if we have already spent the money as the Garvey bond system allows? To say the least we would be placed in an unfavorable position of negotiation. Perhaps I am unaware of a stipulation in the Garvey bond process that guarantees the money from the federal government without strings attached, but with our ethically subjective leadership in Washington I doubt even the most firm stipulation would hold up if the desire for state compliance was dire enough.

What makes my concern even greater today is the recent stand you and our legislators have taken against the infringements on the Tenth Amendment (Health Freedom Act). Needless to say you folks are not a great friend to the statists and tyrants in Washington DC; for that I applaud you. For these reasons, I believe going ahead with any future Garvey bonds is a tactical mistake. Please veto this bill.

An Argument For Real Money

Our founding fathers Madison, Jefferson, Paine, Jay and Franklin to name a few, provided the perfect blueprint for societal and economic failure as well as a comprehensive “how to” guide for tyrants and despots. Such a blueprint can be seen on the photographic negative of their wisdom; in other words if we do the opposite of their advice we beg for failure.

Thomas Jefferson said,

“The central bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an Enemy to all banks discounting bills or notes for anything but Coin. If the American People allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the People of all their Property until their Children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.

The situation Thomas Jefferson described is going on before our very eyes. Over the past couple of years, in the real estate and construction markets, we have watched one of the largest evaporations and transfers of wealth the world has ever seen. Children are waking up homeless. I think we can all agree our central bank; The Federal Reserve and the Congress of the United States are largely complicit in this melt down. They have done this by printing money out of thin air which devalues in kind the money in circulation, and by manipulating the rate the money can be let out (controlling interest rates); as consequence great fiscal moral hazard was encouraged and further supplemented by altruistic lending laws and government loan insurance i.e. Fannie May and Freddie Mac.

The very keystone or should I say ace of spades in this house of cards is the departure from the use of an universally valued and accepted intermediary good (such as gold or silver) as currency, replaced by a manipulated fiat currency; the US dollar. The manipulation of the dollar by the Federal Reserve and the efforts of the Congress to stimulate usually yield either temporary results that merely delay the inevitable, or the inverse of their goal. This leads us to two possible conclusions on the actions of our financial overlords; they are involved in devious collusion or they are incompetent, neither should be tolerated. Returning to a silver standard as an intermediary good used in trade would heal much of these ills.

The government has always been involved in our currency. The Coinage Act of 1792 defined the first American Dollar,

The money of account of the United States shall be expressed in dollars or units … of the value [mass or weight] of a Spanish milled dollar as the same is now current, and to contain three hundred and seventy-one grains and four sixteenth parts of a grain of pure … silver.

Or .7734375 troy ounces.
Our government’s initial involvement in money was one to define a tangible standard of weight and quality, easily measured, in order to prevent fraud and establish a standard of trade. They gave the dollar no value; they left that to the free market. To this we must return.

We departed from the Gold/Silver standard, largely under FDR based upon the guise that it was a temporary and due to a national emergency. Nixon finished the job with his declaration that we had entered the Keynesian age; an economic theory of governmental control and subjective ambiguity.

It is too often the case in times of national emergency we give up bits our liberty, for safety. Sometimes Liberty is restored, sometimes exchanged for license, sometimes lost forever. Accordingly in a time of economic emergency we gave up our secure standard of wealth for an ambiguous one, the paper dollar. We lose our Liberty in times of crisis, with laws like the Patriot Act and the departure from the gold/silver standard. We lose our Liberty in times of plenty via governmental altruism. Both examples infringe upon our Inalienable Rights and break the Natural law.

The growing popularity of a not particularly handsome nor dazzlingly eloquent, Ron Paul as evidence that the message of a backed currency has hit main street; the common man is getting it. So I ask each of you to consider, who would you rather take advice from, Ben Bernanke, Timothy Geitner and Barney Frank or Thomas Jefferson. We must return to the ways of our fore fathers. We must return to a currency backed by a universaly valued durable good; gold or silver.

One of the biggest businesses in America today is the peddling of “energy drinks.” However, one thing most of them have in common is they have a very low actual energy content and a very high content of stimulants like caffeine. Energy and stimulation are two very different things. Funny enough, through clever marketing, the term calorie, has come to mean, a measurement of unhealthiness rather than what it scientifically means. The term calorie is a measurement of energy content, just like BTU, watt or horsepower. For instance a gallon of gas contains about 114,000 BTUs of energy or the potential for 44.8 horse power hr. at the rate of 100% efficient conversion. That same measurement of heat and work can be converted to nutritional calories (28,727). In the case of motive power via internal combustion engine or human power, the delivered energy (for work) is less than the input energy which is due to heat loss and combustion/digestion inefficiencies. A stimulant however, is an un-natural compound (to the body) that usually causes a reaction in the nervous system or metabolism that gives a person the impression of energy. In certain cases an artificial stimulant may simulate a naturally produced chemical in the body (or the result of the role of the natural compound) so closely that the body may cease to produce that compound, causing many adverse and potentially deadly side effects; methamphetamine is a good example. Let’s take the product 5 Hour Energy for example; I believe this product engages in false advertising. This product claims only 4 calories yet a body at rest still uses 40 calories per hour just to maintain systems. Therefore for them to claim 5 hours of “energy” it should have at least 201 calories. This product may have other compounds that aid the digestion or conversion of stored energy in the body, but if the body does not have a reserve of potential energy to convert, and work is required, the primary functions of the body will be harmed and the body will convert muscle and bone to energy with devastating results. In our decadent society a trim and “sexy” body with low fat reserves is appealing, thus the addictions to stimulants and the untold number of side effects they bring. Stimulants have become a substitute for proper eating habits and prudent physical care.

Of course a perfect natural human would have no need for stimulants of any kind. Maintaining a balanced diet of digestible fat, protein and carbohydrate calories, and fulfilling the bodies need for vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other core factors required to properly replicate DNA, maintain body temperature and produce work is all we need.

Remarkably, the natural physical order of human kind as well as the natural laws of science (the Laws of Thermodynamics in particular) are very similar if not directly analogous to economics and society in general.

First of all economically speaking we can only describe and measure the economic energy stored by goods and services. Like protein, carbs and fat have a potential energy so do goods and services have potential energy that can not be realized until digested. The digestion of goods and services is called voluntary exchange of goods and services, which requires a good or service be demanded by one party and supplied by another either in direct swap for good or service or by an intermediary good found desirable to both parties (currency). Historically, this mutually desirable intermediary good has been gold or silver because in itself it holds a recognizable value. This intermediary good allows inequitable direct exchanges, like a bushel of wheat for a cow; gold acting as the difference in value. Or the intermediary can act as a tool in exchange through a middle man who holds goods or services in inventory. This very brief and simple explanation draws a very close similarity to a healthy human eating right and converting energy to work, in the sense that there is very little energy lost in the trade due to the purity of the supply and demand and mutually acceptable (incorruptible) intermediary good.

Today we have moved quite far from this model of economic health. We no longer have a reliable intermediary good as we have substituted it with a “token of faith” (the dollar). Unlike gold or silver which require human effort to mine and refine, and has many uses, the dollar can be produced at will, and other than its perceived value it only holds a few BTUs of heat if burned. As we add “money” to the economy the value of all money in the market is diminished because it is not tied to productivity. From a health perspective this is like a man eating a one pound, five hundred calorie totally balanced meal and having the components of the meal gradually replaced with 0 net calorie celery. The man may still feel full but the net effect is he will die; you can’t substitute quantity for quality.

As the man’s body begins to use its reserves his appetite may increase. Feeling sickly, he just might increase his daily intake of celery; borrowing from future rations. With the increase in rations he may fell satisfied after a meal but that is merely a perception, as his body eats itself for energy. He then might try to display an upbeat attitude, rejecting reality. Being ignorant to the fact that he is not bringing any new energy into his body he would likely resort to stimulants to speed his metabolism and nervous system giving him the perception of energy, blind to the fact that he is only speeding the process of death.

Our economy acts the same way yet we are surprised with its illness. We have countless times interfered with the natural process in order to get high. As we become too proud to take certain manufacturing jobs, they go overseas; energy lost. We allow parasites to come into the country unlawfully and pack the money out; energy lost. We import far more then we export; a net loss of energy in the exchange. In the mean time we demand a more decadent lifestyle and by golly if enough people want something in an immoral democracy you’ll find a politician to promise all the bread and circuses imaginable, even while living with the highest standards the earth has ever seen. The people demand a feeling of health not knowing they are dead men walking. In absence of real energy in the economy we fake it with the placebo effect of increasing the quantity of money; which does work for a while until perception meets reality. We attempt to stimulate the economy by artificially valuing the dollar by placing non-market interest rates on the market; discouraging thrift and encouraging moral peril. We live off hopes of a better tomorrow not satisfied with our earnings of today while using our last energy to dig our own grave. We “create” jobs and production with no demand for the product; busy work, like walking on a treadmill. There are so many more examples of how we have not only strayed from, but out right shunned the natural capital market place. We are not a free market economy in America any more; far from it. But we don’t really care that we are chronically unhealthy as long as we feel good. We have made our diet meth and celery; we feel like a million bucks. In our arrogance we think we can recreate the natural process to fit our will. The process a five year old can explain over dinner. Our perception serves as our reality, in absence of the truth. But alas, the truth remains.

WE the generation of Americans born between 1978 and 2000, children of the Baby Boomers, will have a chance to make right what has gone horribly wrong with our country.

WE, have watched our parents live in the now and become complacent to the erosion of freedom and liberty.

WE, have watched their fortunes come and go and seen them remain silent as the Federal Reserve printed money out of thin air; money with no value; but they played the game; they got theirs. WE have witnessed the fantasy world of play money, false interest rates and governmental regulations that give advantage to some businesses and cripple others, created by politicians in trade for money. WE demand a real dollar with real market interest rates, and a fair playing field absent of governmental cronyism.

WE have watched our parents and grand parents get taxed heavily for education only to pass our education off to the government monopoly of thought. Don’t they care? Don’t we deserve the best? Shouldn’t they demand the money used to educate us be used in the most efficient and free manor possible? WE demand choice in education for our children!

WE, have watched our Presidents go to war and call it a police action, knowing full well The Constitution does not give this power to the President. WE have seen our nation go to war and men die because we do not have a picture of what victory looks like. WE know war is hell and it must not be entered into for light reasons and when fought, WE must win quickly and decisively with all of our resolute nature to bear.

WE have watched money and clever slogans manipulate our democratic method of election. WE have watched them become lazy on history, complacent on The Constitution, and vote not with their mind but with opinions based upon sensational advertising. WE know a democracy without reverence and diligence is no better than a lynch mob. WE know the power of the vote and we must and will not treat that freedom; purchased in blood, lightly. WE will think with our minds and give and love with our hearts.

WE have watched them trade liberty for security; freedom for government control. WE know America did not become great by accident nor by government planning, but by a design endorsed by WE THE PEOPLE, that preserves liberty, and restrains the government; The Constitution. WE believe each man in his own choosing should be free to seek out and work for his wildest dreams without interference, and a man should also be allowed to live in sloth if it be his choosing. WE must not be forced to live for our brother nor he for us, but retain the convictions of our soul and help not because we are forced but because we love.

Finally, WE have watched our parents allow more and more of their money to be taken from them, to fund a government growing like a disease; one that is giving money, money they do not have as gifts to other countries around the world…it’s not yours to give! A deficit means WE are the ones footing the bill, perhaps our children as well. WE believe taking from one man against his will and giving it to another is theft and that the principal of theft does not change just because a group of people vote for it.

Generation WE, swear a pact, to restore our nation to its former greatness when The Constitution was honored; a man's property was respected and charity was given from the heart, and received with humility. It’s Christmas Eve and Jimmy has just been tucked snugly in bed. The anxiety for the day to come has him plum tuckered out. As he drifts off to sleep the last vision that passed across his mind is a photographic memory of the crayon written letter he sent to Santa,

Dear Santa,

It’s me Jimmy. I have been a very good boy this year and I got all A-s on my report card. All I want for Christmas is a pony; a brown pony with white spots is what I really want but any pony will do if you can’t find one with spots.

As the first light of dawn broke through the mini blinds in Jimmy’s room he was up like a shot. To the window he went, expecting a pony to be tied to the old elm tree in the front yard. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes he looked again; more closely this time, bumping his head on the cold glass trying to look straight down. With a deep sigh, his warm breath obscured the view through the glass. Striking his finger through the haze on the window, the thought to himself, no pony! Perhaps the back yard! He thought with a revived spirit. Again, no pony. With sorrow and disbelief he made his way towards the Christmas tree, his bare feet slapping the hardwood floor in gait of discouragement. Down he plopped, sideways on his father’s worn recliner. Just then, out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of a red envelope placed thoughtfully at the base of the Christmas tree. On the envelope was his name JIMMY. With restored hope he hurriedly opened the letter.

Dear Jimmy,

I am so glad you have been a good boy this year however, due to the small number of ponies available; I am unable to grant your wish. I also expect the supply of ponies to be small next year as well. With that knowledge, only the very best children will be awarded a pony next year. Trevor Johnson next door was given a pony this year based upon his very complete letter to Santa. Please use his format and documentation as an example of a winning letter (see enclosed).

Jimmy opened Trevor’s letter to Santa; all twelve pages worth. The front page- cover sheet, the second page- left blank intentionally, the third page- the table of contents; all pages type written. His parents helped him Jimmy thought as he thumbed through the pages. Every good deed was well documented. What’s this!!! “Shoveled snow at old man Lincoln’s house.” I did that! he fumed. Passing by that page in disgust he also noticed Trevor’s grades were not as good as his, but with each poor grade was a type written reason for his poor performance….

Exit fiction, enter reality

This morning on my way to work I heard a news story that at first did not sink in. The story was. “The State of Idaho is in the running for a Federal education grant.” My first thought when I heard the news was, cool we could use the extra money to help out in a short budget year, but my second thought was a bit deeper.

Why must we apply to Santa errr Uncle Sam (both old, white bearded guys) to have the same money that was seized from our citizens granted back to us? The answer is strings; both purse and puppet. The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution grants all the power not given specifically to the Federal government, in the Constitution, to the States and the people. Public education is not a power reserved for the Federal government, therefore the duty falls upon the State or the People. The catch however, lies in the Sixteenth Amendment.

“The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”

Boy howdy does the Feds use that Amendment to the fullest! They take as much as they wish ((lawfully so (a legal injustice)) and impose their will by withholding funds from those do not comply, or rewarding those who comply; bribery and pandering to be blunt. This affective nullification of the Tenth Amendment via the Sixteenth has been gradual erosion that is transforming The United States of America into the Administrative Oligarchal of Puppet States of America (AOPSA).

This Federal grant for education that Idaho is in the running for is just a small example of the Federal governments “soft persuasion tactics.” The Department of Energy, the EPA, Dept. of Homeland Security and many more practice this Santa-esque tactic. But it does not stop there. The Feds have used much stronger tactics in the past; threatening to withhold directly budgeted money from our state if we did not conform to their will.

With the apparent wholesale rejection of Obama Care things are looking up for freedom loving Americans. In the past we as conservative Americans have been content to play defense, against, the would be tyrant; giving a little ground each time we proclaim victory. With this most current election in Massachusetts, we must prepare to go on the offense for once and not squander the opportunity like we did for the Bush years. As Winston Churchill once said,

“Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice.”

As we prepare to retake the once golden beaches of liberty, we must consider in advance the genesis of this increasingly less soft tyranny we endure. We must fight monumental battles of direct principal rather than a thousand small skirmishes. I would offer for consideration of the patriots an action plan.

The Tenth Amendment couldn’t be clearer, yet it is impotent. We must repeal the Sixteenth Amendment and replace it with something like this.

The Congress shall have the power to levy a tax on each State based solely upon census. The amount of the tax will be restrained to the actual expense of administration and execution of duties described in the Constitution specifically.

In such a consideration the states would pay a tax directly to the Federal government rather than the citizens individually. Each state could decide how to most efficiently and equitably procure the funds from the people at the state level. Each state could decide which services and programs are the duty of the government. Just as Santa is an un-necessary, redundant, convoluting, inefficient, intermediary between parent and child, so is the Federal government in most affairs. The power must be closer to the people.

To The Matter of Pat Robertson

Pat Robertson said, "...since then (the pact with the Devil) the Haitian people have been cursed with one thing after another; desperately poor."

Pat Robertson did not say this earthquake was a divine retribution. He did imply however, the economic state of Haiti was a result of past decisions. I am not a big Robertson fan, but the press has stuffed a lot of extra words into Robertson’s mouth, and that is not right.

Here is my take on curses and blessings. God has given us much wisdom in which to rule our affairs, personally and as a nation. Through out the Bible many blessings and curses are described. If you do this, good things will happen, if you do that, bad things will happen. However I do not think God is up there with his Scepter sending down curses and blessings via invisible ray. The laws of God are like the laws of nature; they can't be broken and an attempt to do so results in calamity...simple cause and effect. Our Nation was founded upon the Laws of God and we have been "blessed" because of it, yet the further we stray from those principals the more tribulation we experience. Haiti won its "freedom" based not upon the Laws of God but an agreement with the Enemy of God. Whether the Devil actually showed up to shake hands with them is irrespective; their departure from the known Laws of God and intentional separation from him brought their society a natural cause and effect reaction, or "curse" if you please.

Now, consider this. If Haiti was a nation that was founded upon the same principal as ours, would the poverty and corruption be the same as it is today? Would the damage to the infrastructure be as great had the nation managed its wealth better over the past 100 years? Would the internal governmental response to the suffering be quicker and more compassionate if they were under a 1787 US Constitution? Blessings and Curses are cause and effect. God did not create us to destroy us, but as an object of His love. His expression of the principals to a blessed life and nation are a perfect example of that Love. As witnessed not just in Haiti but in almost every culture the result of ignoring this Loving advice is chaos and corruption.

New and Current Tax Evaluation Checklist

Understanding that some taxes are required in order to administer and maintain assets of the people in union, we must also consider carefully the equitability of each tax, fee and money generating regulation. The scope of the duties of government vary from state to state, as do the general philosophical characteristics of people based upon the geography, economic culture and general moral order. This geographic uniqueness of governments as allowed by and specifically reserved for the states in the 10th Amendment, is considered by some a brilliant act of our Founders, by others pure Providence. However, as we are warned by the past countless times, even the finest forms of government left to the hands of man, whether tyrant, aristocrat, altruist, or simply a complacent or distracted man, will eventually grow far beyond its intended purpose. The metamorphosis starts as a government for and by the People, to the inverse; the people for and by the Government. Often over many generations the change from servant to lord is nary noticed by the citizens.

As a remedy to this culturally debilitating governmental illness an intersession must take place before the tenants of Liberty, Industry and Thrift are forgotten or worse yet considered a fanciful ideal, unattainable by man. If this intervention is possible, the people must draw a personal connection to the government purse. They must understand and accept the full value of their monetary sacrifice for the government, and with that knowledge approve the expenditures thereof as a prudent substitute to their otherwise eminent higher economic condition. Sadly, the direct connection of he who fills the purse and he who demands it filled has been broken. Taxing structures once simple and direct, are now convoluted, confounding and take much effort on behalf of the benefactor to calculate with accuracy. Taxes become hidden in the gradual maturity of a product or service, from raw good to finished product, leaving no hand un-slapped. The result in many cases is a finished product, which caries a price largely a representation of the taxation and mandated regulation generationaly; yet the consumer is none the wiser. Would it not be in the best interest of the people to know how much of their bounty the government actually seizes? Might this encourage a new found desire to encourage accountability and thrift? Would the People take more ownership of their government if they paid a $.20 sales tax rather than the equivalent masked in the shadows? Following is a simple question and answer list each lawmaker should consider before any new tax is designed. Additionally, to simplify our existing tax code we must ask this of our existing laws. As long as the government by and for the People is broken it is not too late to fix it, but when Liberty is gone so is the last hope of repair.

1) Does the tax impede commerce?
2) Is the tax aimed at a specific industry or product?
3) Is the tax aimed at a specific people group; racial, religious, economic or otherwise?
4) Is the tax designed to discourage a specific behavior?
5) Are the revenues needed to support a specific government function as defined in the Constitution of the State?
6) Will the revenues of the tax directly, positively impact those who pay the taxes?
7) Is the tax or fee based upon usage of a publicly owned asset?
8) Does the tax place state industry at a competitive disadvantage?
9) Does the tax place business in a border town at a competitive disadvantage, based upon tax laws across the state line? If so is there a plan to make those effected businesses whole?
10) Has the tax or fee been used in other states, successfully and equitably?
11) Does the tax or fee require an additional logistical burden on a business or person(s) to collect?
12) Is the tax likely to be passed on to others as a cost of goods? If so how many generations of sales will the tax likely be passed?
13) Is this tax designed to be disguised from the end payer?
14) If the tax is designed to fund a specific service, has the private sector been give a fair opportunity to bid or compete on that service?

Don't Cut Taxes...Eliminate some!

Even the drunken dullard, when presented with the laws of economics, must concede; taxes only restrain industry. So we must conclude that in order to sponsor real growth (not the kind of growth the Fed proclaims) we must reduce the amount of money seized from the productive and given to the non-productive. Of course tax cuts can be done a number of ways, some with more impact than others. A simple cut that may be proposed, and may resound with a typical work-a-day voter is a sales tax reduction. Although, any tax cut is a good one this is just not the best way to take make a full impact.

I would suggest rather than cutting tax ratios on existing tax structure, we need to eliminate certain taxes and regulation that not only directly restrains business by the seizure of funds but also cost business extra time and funds due to the requirement of additional ancillary support; personal property tax, real estate property tax and income tax come to the top of mind.

So, at this time of mandatory thrift, perhaps we need to look at how we can get the most bang for the buck out of our reduction of taxes. Perhaps eliminate the income tax altogether and raise the sales tax (of course with a net reduction in the size of the government take). Just the reduction in minutia, and the resulting savings from such an act would promote economic growth. There is my two cents (well not exactly...the government actually owns one of them...both if I don't hire someone that knows the tax code to defend me).

Nancy Pelosi and her gang have turned your party into a real mess, bent on bigger government, bankrupting our children’s children and taking freedom at every turn. I would again like to thank you for voting no on the “Cap and Trade” bill this summer. I think you realize just how harmful this bill would be on every American and our economy in general. However, the battle is not over.

If you get your news from traditional sources, what comes next will be a shock to you since the mainstream media finds the number of Tiger Woods lovers more important than the future of western civilization and freedom.

What is missing from your nightly news, is a story called Climategate; perhaps the biggest story of our time. The genesis of this story comes from a whistle blower that leaked thousands of sensitive emails from the worlds leading climate modelers. Within these emails a foul plot is exposed. The data that lead to the man caused global warming frenzy was admittedly manipulated and the scientific method clearly compromised. Had this information not been discovered, the sheeple of this world would likely have won the day and the US would be relegated to voluntary second world status. It was with great Providence this underhanded scheme was exposed before the Jolly Green Tyrant had his way.

So today Congressman, I ask you to support the efforts to bring light on this issue. I ask you to support Rep. Inhofe and push for Congressional hearings. You are a reasonable man…reasonable men reason…without hearings, such is impossible. Most of those in the house and senate have little knowledge of science; they are swayed by the media, public opinion and a powerful lobby. The wisest men of a representative republic must not be swayed by such transient and shallow endeavors. You must seek the Truth and it shall keep us free.

As a matter of fact I will use bullet points; simple and concise facts.

Secondly I would like to give credit for these following perspectives/facts to a gentleman by the name of Mark Vande Pol. 1) Treaty law (International) supersedes our Constitution and once established we the people have absolutely no vehicle to change it.
2) Any special interest group may site Treaty Law, (environmental or otherwise) to assume control over markets, "private property" and liberty in general.
3) American courts are generally powerless to rule on international law (treaties).
4) Treaties are drafted in private with undisclosed participants.
5)The special interest groups that are responsible for writing the treaties, and federal and local laws as well as interpreting, administering and perpetuating them are funded (in very large part) by the corporations they are supposedly "watch dogging."
6) These groups also fund politicians and the academic elite all with taxes and dollars taken from the "profits" that you and I gave them via inflated market prices for oil, food, computers, electricity and so on. We pay for our own bondage!

Childern of the '70s! You Too Were Conditioned

The cartoons back in “the day” lacked a political message for the most part (unlike today), but childhood conditioning was alive and well. PBS played shows like Sesame Street, Electric Company, Zoom, Mulligan Stew and Vealegra. Largely, the content of the shows were educational; some math, phonics, a bit of basic science, letters and number identification. However, many more suspect messages were sent on these programs that were by design. Multi- culturalism (misspeak for cultural non-conformance, or societal rebellion) was praised and acted out on a stage set, where everyone, every day, all go home happy. While in the real inner city, it caused chaos and despair (still does). Hyperboleus examples of greed and giving were acted out as a psudo-socialisim 101 class, and introductory class envy training was started. If we want to find out how we got so screwed up as a society today we must look at what conditioning was done to us. For instance let’s look at Bert and Ernie. Bert was grumpy and a bit greedy. Ernie would always share his cookie with Bert. Now, by no means do I condemn Ernie for his charity because individual charity is the most noble endeavor, however, I do recall guilt trips being imposed upon members of the cast for non-sharing. They really had a social utopia on that show with a few holdouts, like Oscar the garbage can puppet, and of course Bert was a soft-core Archie Bunker. But how would this socialist utopia have gone over if some real world was interjected.

Real world socialism/ communism episode 1250

[Scene Ernie's kitchen]- Ernie and Grover cook two cookies one for each of them. They have flour all over themselves and the kitchen; they have worked very hard and have more to do. They talk about how they had to buy the egg (The screen goes solid blue and the word EGG comes on the screen, pronounced three times in English and three times in Spanish.) and the flour and such, and how they had to earn the money for those goods. They talk about how much they will enjoy the cookies; “Yummy Yummy,” Grover says in his patent voice. [Pan to kitchen window] A nose appears at first, and then the head- Its Elmo! (Greetings exchanged). Elmo comments on the yummy smell. Grover and Ernie explain the cookie making process and the ingredients (The word EGG pops up on the screen again). Elmo although he has all the available knowledge needed, now, to make his own cookie, he hints around for a portion of the finished product; Ernie and Grover are a bit too dense to recognize the plea. Ernie being a kind heart writes the recipe down for Elmo. Soon others gather at the window, attracted by the aroma. Ernie and Grover both write recipes down and hand them out to all at the window, amongst the persistent hinting; Ernie and Grover remain oblivious to the crowd's lust for their bounty. Soon Bert comes to the window, evidently home from a hard day at the pointy head club. Bluntly he says, "Aren’t you gonna share." Their dreams of yummieness dashed, they offer up their cookies. The swarm of puppetry ensues; the sound of “MMMMMM,” and “yummy” from all, “thank you,” from a few; the crowd vanishes. Left on the floor, crumbs and recipe cards.

Day two-Repeat day one, save some of the thank yous, and a few of the people (Elmo and Big Bird) are missing.

Later day two- Big Bird and Elmo thank Grover and Ernie for the recipe and explain how they made their own cookies! They share with Ernie and Grover as thanks and repayment. Ernie and Grover finally get a taste of their own recipe. [Camera pans around the corner] Bert hears the exchange, and spreads the news all over Sesame Street; Elmo and Big Bird have cookies too.

Day three- Similar results- Mob of puppets also visit Big Bird and Elmo.

Day four Big bird, Elmo, Ernie and Grover close the window and pull the blind as not to entice the mob or announce their baked goods. At last they eat their cookies in peace. The mobs gather puzzled at the closed window. Peeking through Bert says, "They are in there!" He runs around the house enters the door and proceeds to lecture Ernie and Grover on their greed. Ernie and Grover try to explain how this day was the first day they actually got to enjoy what they worked for, and how they had shared the recipe. Burt looks cross and his hair is especially on end!

Day five repeat day four in Ernie’s kitchen. The cookieless mob grumbles. Above the grumble, words like greedy, unfair, mean, are heard. Burt takes the stage once the crowd is at fever pitch, and eloquently re-enforces their anger and lust for yummy cookies. He announces in a discussed voice, "It is unfair that only four Sesame Street residents get to eat all of its cookies! We should take their cookies and share them with every one equally! Let’s put it to a vote! All in favor?" "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" It is unanimous, save the absence of the cookie makers. Bert announces he and Cookie Monster will take on the burden of seizure and redistribution of cookies. He will also mandate higher production levels; the crowd chants his name..Bert! Bert! Burt!!!

The baker boys were shocked by the news, but Bert explained to them again their greedy ways, and how they will be shunned if they do not comply. Burt leaves the kitchen and before he locks the door behind him, he says, "I expect cookies for every one and extra, or else!"

The seizure and redistribution starts. Burt and Cookie monster do their duty, and reward themselves with extra cookies, justifying more and more for themselves each day. The mob grumbles seeing their share diminish. An additional increase in cookie production is demanded by Burt. Burt bars the window to the kitchen and orders Snuffleufagus to stand guard. [Screen goes red] a word appears with a little dot bouncing above each letter. SOCIALISIM (repeat three times English and Spanish). Fade to song-

Radical Health Care Reform (American Style)

Preface- The following is an outline of a “Health Care Reform” plan that addresses the real problems with health care in the United States. Additionally, a compulsory gov’t health plan is included, but extreme personal responsibility is required of participants. The plan is based upon, good faith, disclosure, cost reduction and responsibility.

1) No fault medical practice- Medicine is called a practice because it is not perfect, and because each medical professional is practicing their craft every day. Of all of the professions in the US the medical profession requires the most, extensive and expensive training of all, by our best and brightest. With all of the training medicine will never be perfect. This proposal will make the practice of medicine “no fault.” Otherwise, every doctor, nurse or medical professional is held harmless from lawsuit. Each medical professional however, will retain a record of success and failure, and their compensation and job retention will be based upon this factor (buyer beware). Consequently, in a full socialized medicine environment the same is true…you can’t bring suit the government. This provision will reduce the cost of care by hundreds of billions and eliminate the need for malpractice insurance wholesale.

2) Full cost disclosure- Each medical facility will post online their charges for each procedure and medication. Each potential client will receive a comprehensive good faith estimate for any procedure within 24 hours based upon predetermined pricing and typical procedural protocol. This provision will allow the public to shop and prepare for medical expenses and eliminate surprise expense.

3) All medical expense is pre-tax- All expense in medical and wellness related endeavors is to be paid for with pre-tax dollars managed through an HAS account. This includes any insurance expenses whether private or provided by employer, and any direct expense like co-pays and deductible satisfaction.

4) Competitive insurance-Neither the State nor federal government may exclude an insurance provider from trade in any state as long as an insurance company fulfills its contractual obligations.

5) Government compulsory insurance (bridge)-The government will provide a basic wellness insurance program for those who can not afford insurance. Provisions to prevent un-necessary taxpayer expense.
A) Vice prevention and exclusion.
I) Mandatory drug testing- No one on the gov’t plan is allowed any drug use.
II) Alcohol testing-no one on the gov’t plan is allowed alcohol consumption.
III) Tobacco testing- No one on the gov’t plan is allowed tobacco consumption.
IV) Caloric intake - Obesity and improper eating habits are forbidden. Each participant of the gov’t plan must adhere to a strict diet and exercise regiment. For those already obese a strict diet will be assigned.
X) Risky or dangerous behavior or activities- All typically dangerous activities are forbidden, such as football, basketball, skate boarding, surfing, parachuting, water sports, boxing, MMA, cycling, motor cycling, motor sports etc.
XI) Masochism-Anyone on the gov’t plan is forbidden from any tattoos, body piercing, or any body alteration that may increase the risk for illness (hepatitis etc.).
XII) Sexual promiscuity forbidden- Each person on the gov’t plan must either opt into a contract of monogamy with a partner (tested free from stds) or sign a contract of abstinence (prevent spread of STDs and unwanted pregnancies). The ID card for each person on the gov’t plan will carry an endorsement that dis-allows alcohol, tobacco and other vice.

B) Hardship certification- Those on the gov’t plan must have and display a hardship and while on the gov’t plan must not expend funds on luxuries such as cable/satellite TV, boats, RVs, unnecessary cars or motorcycles, have a car greater than $10,000 book value, magazine or website subscriptions, or any other non-essential services or assets. This program is to be offered by the Federal government but may be replaced or forbidden by any state. Social matters are the sole Constitutional responsibility of the state or the people.

A Health Care Word Picture

Dear Congressman Minnick,

Please allow me to draw a brief word picture.

A man who can not swim a lick jumps into the shallow end of a swimming pool; his feet easily reach bottom. From time to time he lifts his feet off of the bottom, holds his breath and flails his arms and legs around. Of course he promptly sinks and he must stand up to get air; the man simply can not swim. Occasionally some one will come by and deliver the man an unproven theory on swimming and some times he tries some of the recommendations to no avail. One day a guy who really looks like a good swimmer shows up and delivers the most inspiring theory on swimming he had heard to date. The guy is so inspired he climbs out of the shallow end and runs to the diving board (on the deep end). Exited about this grand new swimming theory the man jumps in head first. Having just enough flailing energy to lift his head from the water one time hears the inspirational theorist yell, “Yes you can!” He drowns inspired and confused.

The swimmer in this story is our government’s involvement in healthcare. Right now we are in the shallow end with Medicare and Medicaid. The government is in the water but not at all swimming. We have trillions in unfunded liabilities and absolutely no plan. Today we have a massive new plan by our central planning theorist, President Obama, that would take over the entire health care system. Is it wise for us to jump in to the deep end before learning how to swim in the shallow end?

I ask you, Congressman Minnick to recommend a tabling of this bill until the government can prove they can handle the power they have already seized. Table all health care legislation until at least Medicare is solvent. You can not run a business or a Nation on idealism. We must face the facts. No matter how much you want to swim, or like water, if you have no idea how to do it based upon physical evidence and practice, you will drown.

Idaho Declaration of Sovereignty

When, in the course of human events it becomes necessary to assess and re-establish governmental order that more closely represents the will of the people of our state, and represents the order originally established by The Constitution of the United States of America and it’s first 10 amendments (The Bill of Rights), it is our responsibility as citizens to act and re-establish the sovereignty of our state as intended by the Framers of our nation.

We too, as the Founders of our nation before us, believe absolute inalienable rights that can not be infringed upon by any government, state or federal, in any form. Among these rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We also believe it is the first and foremost role of the government to secure these rights for the people. Whenever it becomes apparent that these rights are being infringed upon rather than protected, it is the Right and duty of the People of our State to correct the injustice and re-establish the intended order and lawful relationship between our state and the Federal government. In government as in nature, things change, adapt and grow old. Although changes have occurred, often they have been for light, transient and tyrannical reasons. As these changes occur, it is human nature, as evidenced by historical record, to become accustom to the gradual change and losses of liberty, and failure to act as long as the suffering is bearable. Consequently they fail to throw off the evils and abuses imposed upon them. It is the duty of the citizens, to recognize this gradual shift from liberty to tyranny and set the course right. Such has been the patient suffering of this State; and as a consequence it is necessary to alter the form of government which we have gradually yielded to and under fear of duress. Let these facts be submitted to all States and territories under the flag of the United States of America.

The Federal government has-

Forbidden Governors, through the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government to pass laws that conflict with federal laws which are not expressly addressed in The Constitution, by withholding funds as leverage against the States, when the State’s will conflicts with the Federal government’s desire.

Allowed Presidential Executive Orders to stand as law, of which many have affected our citizens directly. This is directly counter to the checks and balances upon which our form of government was founded and our constitution functions.

Made laws that conflict with the 2nd Amendment by requiring pre-conditions to the expressed, “right to bear arms.”
Interfered with this states right to select our method of selecting US Senators; the 17th Amendment, thereby destroying the rights and sovereignty of all States, and making the election of Senators subject to the fallible and manipulateable popular election, against the design of our Founders.

Given authority to Federal administrations that supersede the authority and rights of the State Governor, legislator, and courts of the State as well as the Citizens.

Forced our citizens to live by the judgments of the Supreme Court in which the Constitution was not in question.

Given circuit courts authority over state courts on intra-state matters.

Established social programs that do not suit the needs of all states or people, equally.

Made laws, policy and squandered assets based upon insufficient data, and special interest pressure regards to the climate and environment.

Has failed to employ a device that would make certain the President of the United States of America is a natural born citizen and subrogated the responsibility of this Constitutional mandate to the honor of the political parties during the primary elections.

Taxed the income of our people for purpose of expenditures, both foreign and domestic, that do not meet with the will of our citizens.

Failed to hold in account money seized for the expressed purpose of retirement income (Social Security).

Made a hostage of our state by mandating preconditions before the receipt of federal funding.

Kept amongst us Internal Revenue Service agents, with the power to seize funds, based upon complex laws that are not written with the intent to be understood by the common man (tax code)

Given away Congressional authority to mint coinage to the Federal Reserve, which is a private banking cartel not owned by the government or the people of the USA.

Allowed courts to establish policy that in effect makes laws in respect to religion.

Allowed corruption and bribery at the highest levels and attaches unrelated spending and policy to specific bills (pork barrels, ear marks, pet projects) and allowed direct and indirect financial contributions to ranking members and comities for favors to make law to their advantage.

Failed to protect the sovereignty of our nation by failing to enforce immigration laws and secure the borders.

Established a group of official political positions that do not require oversight of any other branch of government and report to the President only (Czars).

Had within it those who incite racial and class discord as a means of political and financial gain.

In every stage of these oppressions, the citizens of our state have petitioned that we may have our own rule and law on these matters, as intended by our Founding Fathers. We know this to be so from our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Federalist papers. Alas, our yearning to hold the power close to the people has been roundly ignored by those who hold unrightfully and unlawful power. This ignoring of Constitutional law and foundational principals is a certain path to absolute power by a few or even one. Understanding the condition of mankind, as evidenced by historical record, such governance always has ends in tyranny and oppression. Therefore, we stand united in our demand to restore this States sovereignty to its rightful level; that of May 14, 1787, and hereby declare a summation of our participation in the United States of America.

We will recognize no Federal Law, agency, administration or court unless it is expressly written in The Constitution of the United States of America, it’s first ten amendments, and other amendments that establish order and law of the Federal government. We will neither respect or accept any Constitutional amendment or law from the Federal Government that limits or imposes law on the citizens or the government of our State.

Our citizens will pay no direct Federal Income tax.

Our state will contribute our pro-rated portion of funds, towards funding national defense, interstate commerce, foreign trade and other federal functions specifically enumerated in the Constitution and its first ten Amendments. The proration will be based upon population and not upon trade or income. Only Federal officers that administer the execution of Constitutional mandates will be allowed within our borders.

All “Federal land” within our borders will from this date be State land, and of which we will assume all management, liability, profit and loss.

We will assume and establish our own social laws in every regard, which includes but is not limited to, education, welfare, student aid, environmental protection.

We reserve the right to mint and coin our own currency backed by gold or silver.

We reserve the right to check our borders, stop and deport illegal aliens, although citizens of all other states retain free egress as enumerated in the Constitution.

The Governor of our State will retain sole command of our National Guard regiments, although we may aid other states and or the Federal Government in times of emergency.

The State of Idaho and its Citizens shall enforce all oaths of office and shall retain the right to discipline any and all State or federal officials within its borders.

The Senators and Congressmen we send to Washington DC will be paid for by our State and we shall have sole authority in regards to their compensation and benefits. Furthermore, our representatives will only vote and add to the debate on matters pertaining to expenditures and policy that pertains to our Constitutional obligation and its first ten Amendments

We expect the federal government to make right the obligation for Social Security to each of our citizens based upon the amount seized from them individually. This may be done over time or as a lump sum payment. If the federal government should fail to do this we shall with hold funds from the federal government and administer as needed.

In these matters and others that may arise, We the people of the State of Idaho, do declare our Sovereign Statehood, and do hereby announce that we will only submit to The Constitution and its first Ten Amendments, as intended by our Founders who self admittedly and proudly proclaimed that they gained their wisdom through Providence. We do these things, to ensure the felicity and dignity of our citizens, knowing full well by observing other cultures that a nation ruled by too few, that squanders its assets, will not stand. Some of our citizens that call upon The Divine, pray for your safety and return to the Ways of our Fathers. In the event the prayers are not answered to the hearts desire of those who ask, we find it indeed crucial to limit our association, and return to the levels of subservience to the Federal Government on that day May 14, 1787.

Letter to Congressman Walt Minnick (Health Care Plea)

Dear Congressman Minnick,

With all of the truth coming out on President Obama’s Health care plan, I am sure you have strong doubts about this swing towards socialized medicine. Additionally, I think you know voting for this bill, in any form, will cost you re-election in 2010 in the State of Idaho. However if you still have not made up your mind on the issue please consider the following scenario.

It is quite obvious under such a plan, rationing must take place. Traditionally, rationing decisions have been made by doctors for the most part, and to some degree by the insurance companies based upon the coverage the insured signed up for. Like anything, you get what you pay for. In medicine there are lots of gray areas, and the doctor’s opinion caries huge sway in these gray areas.

Scenario- Lets say a high school athlete tears (not separates) his ACL. As it stands now, with an insured athlete, the doctor decides whether the injured athlete can rehabilitate the injury, or if it requires surgery. Since wellness and pro active health is a big part what the President pushes, you would think high school athletics would be encouraged. So if the answer to this question is, “the doctor would make the call,” I have my doubts. As it stands right now the main government health care system is the VA. The VA like any government entity has its decisions made by lawmakers and administration, thus rations the care. If a soldier is injured in battle and suffers a torn ACL (not separated) they must wait and suffer the debilitation until it fully separates, even if separation is an eventual given. If this is how we treat the young men we put into harms way, I can only imagine how young athletes who voluntarily put themselves at risk will be treated. Are you sure this is the kind of god ship you want for our government. Before we go whole hog for this new health care system, shouldn’t we get the VA right?

Besides the obvious feasibility issues (in a time of deep recession) this health care plan puts the government into way too much of a lordship position. Do you love your country and our freedom more than your own power? I hope you make the right choice here. I would hope you would actively campaign against this bill.

Call to Action! Be a Snitch!

Some of you may have heard of the new Whitehouse snitch site, flag@whitehouse.gov. This email address is set up to keep track of those who send around chain emails and such that are counter-productive to the socialist/communist/fascist direction of the current administration. This turn of events is quite troubling to those of us that find freedom of speech appealing. However, since I am a “give me liberty or give me death” guy I am going to snitch on myself and encourage all of you to do the same. Attached is a sample email I have sent to the flag@whitehouse.gov email address.

To whom it may concern,

I am one of those guys that cling to my guns and Bible, and I understand my type is frowned upon by this current administration. I also understand you are looking for those who might be spreading “disinformation” about the “health care reform” bill. I confess I might be one of those guys. Below is an email I have been spreading to patriots and non-patriots alike. I was not the author of the original email and I don’t know who it was; probably a tinfoil hat guy from World Net Daily or something (you might want to check on those guys they spread a lot of stuff you guys don’t like). In order to set the record straight please analyze the email I have been spreading and respond to each line accordingly. Upon receipt of your “truth” I will pass it along for the patriots I know to analyze. I certainly would not want to spread “disinformation” because I am all about, Truth, Liberty and personal responsibility. Just in case your ploy here is to keep a list of those who disagree with the socialist agenda in the Whitehouse…I am “that guy.”

On page 425 it says in black and white that EVERYONE on Social Security, (will include all Senior Citizens and SSI people) will go to MANDATORY counseling every 5 years to learn and to choose from ways to end your suffering (and your life). Health care will be denied based on age. 500 Billion will be cut from Seniors healthcare. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care, the oldest and the sickest will be cut first. Paying for your own care will not be an option.
Now, CALL YOUR PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell them to read page 425 if they don’t read anything else. Surely some of them have parents.

Turn Back the Rahmulans (A Satire by a Nerd)

After their sweeping Proconsul victory of the “Cap and Trade” bill, led by Chief Proconsul Nazi Pelosi, at the urging of Rahmulan Emanuel, it appears the Rahmulans and Prater Obama have been turned back and have been forced to their side of the neutral zone; for a time. The Rahmulans started their incursion into the neutral zone back on January 20th, with the inauguration of their figurehead Prater Obama. Cloaked in ambiguity, platitudes and faux-altruism, the Rahmulans struck fast knowing that their numbers and intellect were far inferior to the Vulconservatives. Although hardly a victory for the Vulconservatives, the most recent Rahmulan assault on the Universe, via Universal Health Care has been turned back, even at the urge to forge ahead by Rahmulan himself. The Vulconservatives first goal is to expose the Rahmulan cloaking devices, so they can be seen for what they are; tyrants and villains. Also, part of the Vulconservative plan is, once the cloak starts to weaken, assault the enemy with logic, reason and Truth. Such an assault will surely unite the Federation and ensure victory.

It has long been rumored an alliance between the Rahmulans and the Borg, although few believe such a brotherhood exists. Vulconservative intelligence has proven such a link, and believes that although the Proconsul, the Prater and his staff, and a few other Rahmulans are unlikely to assimilate to the collective of the Borg; they see assimilation of the masses as the only way to secure their victory. Vulconservatives that have studied similar assimilations to the collective know that once the Borg Queen has established military dominance, resistance is futile. Additionally, to best serve the collective, often those who helped them secure power are slaughtered wholesale as a measure of protection. What's more, genocide of those that are not considered productive or assimilatable or are considered resistors, is also common. History has proven such alliances like the one between the Rahmulans and the Borg can not survive on their own merits and must imperialize other planets to survive since they do not create, advance or produce; only eat.

Vulconservatives! We must expose the cloak of the Rahmulans. Logic and Truth exist absolutely! They are weapons that can not be defeated if used properly. We must hone our skills, we must condition our mind and body because the finest sword in the hand of a child is near useless. Letter to Congressman Walt Minnick (Health Care Plea)

Dear Congressman Minnick,

I must say I have been impressed with your departure from party line politics. I appreciate a leader that does what he thinks is right rather than what the party leadership tells him to do. I think you know the potential consequences from the DNC for you maverick attitude and I applaud you for standing for principal rather than party. I can’t say that I have never voted for a democrat before but if I ever did you would probably be the one.

I write you today encouraging you to stand against Obama’s health care bill. He and the democrat leadership are really trying to cram this through. The act of cramming should send up a giant red flag. America has done without socialized medicine for a long time, and baring all of the media hyperbole, we have done just fine. The American people and the congress need to digest this diametric shift from free market health care and personal accountability of ones health, to this entitlement/indenturement bill they have offered. This bill will change America fundamentally forever if passed and this should not be taken lightly nor acted upon with haste. Consider the current state of health care in the USA. We have very few that go without care and have the best treatment in the world. The media and the DNC presents statistics to the contrary, but I know you are smart enough to see through the statistical propaganda. Yes, our health care system has some deficiencies, but consider their origin. Government, inaction on illegal immigration and action on regulation has had a huge impact on the cost and functionality of our nation’s health care; we need less government involvement and not more. I know if I turn this letter into a chapter of a book it is not likely to be read, but I do have one more thing to ask of you.

Please keep a hawkish eye on the modern day Democrat party. Is this the same party you joined all those years ago? Do you more closely identify with Joe Lieberman and Zel Miller or Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Rangel? If you had the choice would you vote for Ronald Reagan or Barrack Obama? I ask you to draw a line in the sand. A line you will not cross for party loyalty. I do not think you are a socialist but many “democrats” are today. I know you probably had little respect for Barry Goldwater but I think you can appreciate the wisdom in the following quote of his. “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.”

Obama's "Deathcare" Means More Than Just Bad Medicine

The news today has exposed an interesting story. A mother has lost her parental rights to her teenage son on grounds of neglect; he is 577 lbs. Although, from the news story evidence I would say that neither mother nor son are ideal people, I have to ask is this not stepping over the line a bit by the government. Is there a 577 pound weight limit before you loose your kids? Either way I think the government is way out of bounds on this sort of thing. It seems they are getting more and more control of our lives. They are in the anti-freedom business it seems.

We are just getting started down this path. If the "tax eaters," that fawn over Obama's new health care reform knew the plans he had for them, they would not be quite as pumped up over it. One of the big pieces of this bill is to remove pre-existing conditions from the coverage exclusions. His plan is that everyone will be covered equally (paid for by the producers). However, in order to control costs they must consider the cost of vice. My hunch is that once they have destroyed the private insurance industry and rendered the medical profession to little more than battle field medics, they will then, because they must, address the cost of vice. The burden of vice on wellness is huge!

The private insurance companies account for the added risk of vice by prescreening smokers, drinkers, and fat folks. As it stands today people pay extra to be insured if they have a vice. However, in a “coverage to all” plan, how will BHO control self inflicted medical conditions via vice or recration? Prohibition II? Caloric controls? Outlawing tobacco (probably not since that would hurt Cuba)? Outlawing contact sports? The point is you can't ignore the fact that self induced health problems in this nation accounts for billions and billions of dollars each year.

In a smaller communal socialistic environment, if a "tax eater" is eating more than his or her fair share of the communal budget, a resentment builds and eventually is acted upon. This results in the euthenizing of the ill, killing of retarded children and the elderly; such a dynamic is not new to the world but it is a solution that can keep a commune solvent but not moral. This dynamic is not only common in communal socialism but also the animal kingdom; as Darwin would call it “survival of the fittest.” If mankind is merely an animal this is the most an efficient method of social order. The power being close to the people is always the most efficient; even in socialisim.

However, National Socialism (which is where we are headed) is a bit different. When all of the money that is stolen from the people, is taken far away, and put into a giant hopper full of money to be doled out as the government elite see fit; well then the direct angst against a “super eater” may not be direct. A “super eater” might well go un-noticed by the masses because there is no direct connection between production and consumption. This may appear to be a more moral society, but morality is not the reason for the lack of action similar to a commune. The reason for lack of public action is confusion, ignorance and dilution of the problem (What I mean by dilution is when 300 million people are in the same pot, one might think- “I know there is a meth addict on my street, but what is one meth head in 300 million…no biggie.” this differs from the direct action of a commune; indifference). The problem with National Socilaistic medicine and government is accountability! Socialism, both National and Communal requires accountability; without it you will have eaters and no producers. Accountability comes two ways- 1) Personal accountability. 2) Enforced accountability.

Personal accountability is extremely rare. To be accurate the term “personal accountability” it probably is not the best description. People that hold themselves accountable, most commonly do so because they have a belief in a higher power which they believe will hold them accountable and punish them if they are bad and reward them if they are good; perhaps in the next life. Personal accountability really should be called deistic accountability, but since it is a voluntary contract between a man and the unseen, I call it personal accountability.

Enforced accountability is imposed upon the people by others through laws. The less personally accountable a person or society is the more enforced accountability is required. If a National socialistic government failed to enforce standards of accountability, society and the national treasury would collapse; it would be all eaters and no producers. As a counter measure to this effect, a government must mandate production expectations, and/or limit the “eaters” consumption. In terms of socialized medicine, in order to cut costs you must force doctors to work more, hire more doctors and limit coverage. Each of these dynamics will increase as the producers are gradually bled dry. Once the producers are bled, and the eaters have eaten all of the producer’s fat and are well into their muscle then the government must either outlaw health damaging vices to cut costs or become imperialistic. The USSR used imperialism to refill their coffers; China cut the food and vice to their eaters.

All of the above examples are direct infringements on liberty but are all needed in a socialist setting. That is the America Barrack Obama sees for you. Some food for all but freedom for none. If you think it is your right to drink what you want, eat what you want smoke what you want, and do what you want (certain recreations result in more injury) guess again; you will do as the father says; for the good of the people. Tyranny.

To the European socialist apologists- You might say look at Sweden and France they are socialist, the people stay fed and they have ok medicine, why not America? The answer is- they gave up the fight. Any one of the European Socialist nations would fall to Ooday and Kusei Hussein and a half a dozen tanks. They do not need nor can they afford to defend themselves. They are living off of a peace dividend that we fund; and they still eat off of their muscle of their few remaining producers. Their only hope is birth control. They must shrink to survive. Their existence fragile; if we back off on our military, France will fall again.

The philosophy is simple in every example, micro and macro, socialism has failed; it is just not sustainable. People must have a personal accountability, and be rewarded for their accountability, thrift, and productivity. Effort+reward=productivity…that is capitalism. Ok I’m done.

Obama; A Trojan Horse or Blessing in Disguise?

Over the past month, America has seen its most radical legislation proposed since FDR pushed into law: USC-title 42—666 (Social Security…). To call the “Cap and Trade” bill and the “Health Care Reform” bill anything other than a communist dictator’s dream would be a vast understatement. While these assaults to all Americans are in the headlines, myriads of other subversive anti-American things are taking place. Things like paying for abortions in Mexico- under the “Stimulus Bill” -the creation of 31 Czars, (some seats filled by admitted socialists), seemingly countless executive orders, a daily assault on the Second Amendment and all under the watch of a man not constitutionally eligible to be president of the United States. It would seem odd that such a, “roid rage” sprint to communo-fascism would be the farthest thing from an American thinkers desire since the jury is most certainly in on the experiments with the leftist ideal in the USSR, China, Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia and Nicaragua, to name a few, as well as commie light experiments in Canada, Britain, Sweden and Germany. If George Orwell himself, in his time, wrote a book chronicling the events of the past year, the book would likely flop due to an implication of over fiction. “Strange days indeed.”

Things just may not be as they seem.

Over the past several months I have written a number of letters to Congressmen, Senators and my Governor; some of the letters were regarding the President’s Constitutional ineligibility. The letters were always responded to with a very frustrating neutral double speak. Receiving no response would anger me less than some of their pansy gluteus maximums, stand-for-nothing responses I received. I often asked myself, how does someone get to a position of great standing without standing for something? Could their individual desire for their office and their own lust for power be so important as to sell America down the drain? But today, it hit me. They just might know something I don’t know. As I thought through my theory, things really started to make sense; the dominos fell one right after another. For example, regarding TARP why was George W Bush acting like a dull witted FDR- Hubert Humphrey clone? After all, “W’s” father, “41”, was an ex-CIA director that served as VP under Ronald Reagan and had a stint at the Oval himself; surely some of the conservative values and intelligence would have rubbed off… I always thought. Of course in his late days in the White House, especially in regards to TARP, my theory of osmotic conservative intellect from his father and Regan was false. Bush was crazy; I thought then. Today I ask, is he crazy like a fox?

Could it be?…Could it be George W. Bush, through the TARP bill and putting Goldman Sachs executives in charge of the world economy only to bankrupt their competition and subvert TARP funds was part of the plan to save the American Ideal? Could it be that the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s lack of desire to protect and defend the Constitution in regards to the Presidents lack of citizenship, is only because it is their horse in the race? Is Barack Hussein Obama a “Trojan Horse?” Could Barry Soretto be a double agent? That would explain a lot! Consider the brilliance of the plan.

Since the days of FDR there has been an organized socialist/Marxist/communo-fascist network in place in America; many served as FDR’s brain trust, this is no secret. During his administration, a communist underground was not required. They operated openly, and founded many organizations that are still around today. After World War 2 drug our nation away from the brink of statism (both economically and philosophically), Americans (especially the returned soldiers) had a new found vigor for freedom and industry. Americans saw first hand the pleasures of National Socialism in Germany, fascism in Italy and communism in the USSR; which by the way are all the same snake; different skin. With the renaissance of the “Greatest Generation,” America forged ahead; freedom in the market and of the person were enjoyed and revered. The “American” socialist however, found this environment less welcoming. Its kryptonite, freedom, was everywhere. This drove the socialists underground for a time, away from the McCarthy gaze.

Although underground, they were nonetheless very active. You see, they had a plan; “The Gramsci Plan.” Antonio Gramsci, was Benito Mussolini’s primary political adversary. Although their ideology was nearly a perfect match, Gramsci called himself a socialist, and so did Mussolini and Italy’s most feared enemy of the day; Germany and the NAZI (National Socialist) party. Mussolini liked the word Fascist better. To prevent Gramsci from making waves Mussolini had him placed in prison, as it was/is the typical statist dictator’s response. Gramsci did not while away his time in prison; he wrote a plan. His plan was how to peacefully overthrow a free culture, and replace it with a socialist/statist one. This plan involved, taking over the schools and universities, controlling the media, exploiting sexuality and diminishing morality, infiltrating churches, controlling world view shapers (such as Hollywood and Turner), encouraging drug use subversively, breaking down the family structure, and judicial policy and control; just to name a few. For the past sixty years the leftists have enacted this plan; some times in the wide open, i.e. The 60’s hippie, and sometimes a bit more cloaked, i.e. the ACLU, IPS (Institute for Policy Studies), the NCC (National Council of Churches) and ACORN. It is quite obvious the commies have been busy; much of the Gramsci plan is done… and done! The leftist’s patience is paying off. But could it be that the communist plan via Gramsci, although obscure from Joe six pack, has not escaped the gaze of some men of today that would be as our founding fathers were in their day?

How brilliant would the plan be? In order to flush out the enemies of freedom, fill the office of President with a double agent that emboldens those statist/leftists; as brave as a rabid pack of Jerry Rubens. It is conceivable that those who lust with hate for America, have now came out of their bunker. They dance in the street at the death of freedom and the American Ideal. They dance and become drunk and lay with one another, just as those in Troy did… the night they received the greatest gift; a gift that to them meant victory; the Trojan Horse. Is Achilles the one that lies inside Barrack Hussein Obama? Could it be, is the Piper calling him to join them? May we one day remove the bust of Teddy Roosevelt from Mount Rushmore and replace it with that of Obama? The man that as a double agent, acted to embolden evil and draw it into the light, by acting as the very enemy, of freedom and liberty. Or perhaps Dick Cheney or George W. Bush- if it was their plan- and Obama merely the player.

This genius plan, if indeed cooked, would have twofold benefits. The first is obvious. Bait the enemy, so that he may speak and act his treason in public. The second beneficial spawn of such a plan is working equally as well. Exposing the patriots and inspiring them to retrace their roots. Rediscover the American Ideal, through reading and prayer, so that we can boldly go where great and Godly men have gone before. Waking up the American Patriot, through bold tyrannical, statist legislation, whether intended or by accident, is a blessing from our Creator. I see men and women that were lax towards their freedom waking up, reading, talking, sharing and revering the roads of our fathers; I have witnessed this! The book Atlas Shrugged sold more copies than ever before this year, people are running to church, people are gaining strength in their convictions at “Tea Parties.” Wow, the “Great sleeping Giant” slumbers no more.

In the book Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, one character asks another (I paraphrase), ‘If you saw Atlas, sweating, struggling to hold up the weight of the world. What would you tell him? The second character pauses for a moment, and then says, “Shrug, I guess?”
American conservatives, you are Atlas! You have held the weight of the world on your shoulders since our foundation. You have endorsed morality, worked hard, given generously, earned, saved, spent and held not just America on your back but the world. At times the burden is heavy; today it is heavy. Shrug great Atlas, renew your strength! Many other Atlas’ are coming to your aid to ease your burden.

In a less grandiose tone I ask each American that reads this, to put away the flack jacket and pick up a book. Don’t hide in your basement, march in the street. For every telemarketer that calls answer politely, “I’m sorry I am not going to spend any more money until Obama is out of office.” Call, write, fax, email, show up at the office of your elected officials. Get the heck involved, the conservative movement is just an infant at the moment, in comparison to how it will look in a few months. Great strength is found in times of great pain, but a smart man sees the pain coming and gathers his strength in advance. Liberty is an “inalienable right,” but no rights are without a price.

Czar Me!!! The Road to Tyranny

The attached article, is pretty long but it is a must read. If you have to break it down into several sittings, do so; just read it! Otherwise it takes about 10 minutes to read. I would also recommend you add Front Page Magazine to your favorites list. This website is owned by David Horowitz who is a former second generation American communist, and knows what the heck he is talking about when it comes to the desire of the statist/communist to take over America and the world. Additionally, Jamie Glazov is the managing editor of Front Page Magazine and he recently wrote a very must read book entitled, “United in Hate.”

FDR surrounded himself with advisors that lusted after the ideals of the USSR; actual “fellow travelers” that imported Stalin’s propaganda to America. Obama is one upping FDR and surrounding himself with very radical (I can’t say that strongly enough) people that dream of a day when America will surrender its sovreignty to a world government. The contents of this article are not just for the conservatives. Many liberals are liberal because they think with their heart instead of their head. However, many of them have not completed the full metamorphosis to leftist. This article is for that tweener that needs to wake up and realize that their freedom is fleeting. So especially if you have any influence over a 20-30 year old liberal, impose your influence and ask them to read this. Don’t expect a radical transformation, but it should awaken them from the haze. You just might explain to them what the difference between a Czar and a cabinet position is too.

Remember friends, we are in a war for the mind right now and we have the truth on our side! The only way we can lose is if we “remain silent.” The war for the mind, when victory is achieved, will last for generations and involves much less bloodshed than a good old fashioned war, or even the extermination of dissenters that always follows a Statist coup. I am encouraged by the ground swell of patriots; we can fix this and win; we still have time, but each day… it fleets.

Why a Birth Certificate? Haven't the People Spoken?

By the very definition of their party, the Democrats would like to put an end to the Barrack Obama, birth certificate issue; the people have spoken! In a true democracy, yes, all of the power is held by the people; however misguided the people may be. A typical leftist democrat chant, revisited by a Progressive Insurance commercial (imagine that) is, “Power to the People! (typicaly with a fist raised into the air)” In a true democracy written law plays second fiddle to the will of the people, or the communal desire, if you will. Understanding this mentality is important when one tries to understand how so many Americans seem so nonchalant in regards to the place of birth of Barrack Hussein Obama; they feel the, vote superior, to the rule of law. Such is a progressive society; the law shifting as sand as the world view of the people is shaped, by the world view shapers.

In the idealistic world of pink ponies and peppermint trees, the democratic ideal of a progressive rule of the people, by the ballot, as the rule of law; perfect justice is achieved. Or so they may think as it rains strawberry gumdrops. In the real world a true democracy is mob rule.

Lets take a hypothetical example of a day in this little utopia that is a true democracy; a place where there is no written law just people. It is a small town of one hundred people, a commune if you will. Lets say this town is in middle America; the greeting placard at the city limits reads Welcome to Anytown! Justice though Democracy -pop. 100. Of the one hundred people ninety nine are white and one is black. For the most part the town got along just great, riding pink ponies and eating gumdrops. One day a news show came on TV. The show exposed inner city gang violence, “The Crips versus the Bloods” it was called. That evening 67 of the 100 people in the town watched the show and were horrified. “Look at what those black people are doing,” they said to one another. The resentment grew towards the lone black man in the town. That next day, a referendum was offered to the people of Anytown. We should stone this black man yes/no, the ballot read. The vote was 67 to 1, yes carried the day, and a true democracy functioned flawlessly; a legal injustice.

So next time you think, “Who cares what the Constitution says about the president being a “natural born citizen,” the people have spoken through the ballots.” Think again. As Ramsey the Great, one of the most powerful men in the history of the world would say, (at least in the movie The Ten Commandments), “So it is written, so let it be done.” Demand full disclosure of Barrack Hussein Obama just as the Constitution demands! So it is written so let it be done.

Letter to Governor Otter-Stimulus Allocation

Dear Governor Otter,

As a conservative, I am sure you are troubled by the state of our nation these days. One especially troubling piece of the economic equation is the “Stimulus package.” You and I both know it is impossible to spend your way out of debt on borrowed dollars (borrowed from the next generation). However, it is apparent the stimulus money will be forced upon each and every state. If you bear with me for another paragraph, I think I have an idea that just might be the proper allocation of our share of the stimulus package and help Idaho crawl out of this recession quicker than other states and with a sustained effect.

As you know, the reason states were created, rather than one large government without sovereign borders, was to keep the power close to the people. It was designed that way so states could make policy based upon their regional preference. Such was a brilliant idea of our founders. A state, on its own accord could try new ideas, and if they failed the entire nation would not suffer the consequences of the progressive action. If they succeeded, the other states could observe the policy and act accordingly. In reality, the statehood ideal was a great insulation against wholesale failure of the states united. Alas, the state borders seem to be a bit hazy these days, as we seem to be moving towards National Socialism; a government ruling from D.C.

The conservative mantra for economic growth is tax cuts, especially for small business. Tax cuts have worked every time they have been tried, I think you will agree. So I propose, the State of Idaho ask special permission, in the spirit of state sovereignty and independent policy experimentation, to use our stimulus money in a different manor than other states. I propose we put the money into the general fund and spend the money as allocated in the budget. The key here is to not grow the budget simply because of the surplus. In turn, state income tax (business and personal) and property taxes should be cut/tax credited back to the engine of our economy; the people and businesses. Secondly, existing bonds on completed capital improvements could be paid off early and the interest saved could be brought back into the general fund. Basically, with this idea, we are turning an unproven irresponsible spending bill into a proven method of economic growth; tax cuts and interest elimination. This likely will not go over real well with the Obama administration, however, I voted for you (and I am sure others as well) because I had a feeling you were not afraid to make some waves. I think it is time to make some tidal waves. We are going in the wrong direction.

Lastly, on a bit of a different subject, I would love to see this state on budget every year. If the economy shrinks 2% than cut the budget 2% across the board. I am sure it will be said it is just not that simple. Really? I would love to see the long term goal of the state of Idaho (and the nation, I’m a dreamer) be financial freedom, which means no debt. I would love to see the State of Idaho adopt “Dave Ramsey economics” as its policy.

Hero Worship and Reagan

Recently while commenting on a website I frequent http://logisticsmonster.com/, I was asked the following question- following is my response.

Diamond Tiger asked, “Walt – can you explain to me the hero worship of Ronald Reagan – I just don’t get it, but then again it could be because of what I know about Ronald Reagan.”

I would love to. First of all I would like to water down the statement “hero worship.” I have no earthly heroes.

Ronald Reagan was not a man fresh with new ideas, he was neither a visionary, nor a deep intellectual…he did not need to be, because Truth exists. President Reagan’s policy and “ideas” were not new, to the contrary they were very old; they were the ones of our founders.

The founders of our nation, I believe, were God ordained to serve a purpose. The ideas they had were also not new. They did not invent the “self evident truths.” They did not ordain the "Laws of Nature,” or create the "Creator." They simply, through great wisdom, perseverance and the study of human nature, compiled very old Truths and built a series of documents so that we may be ruled by the written law, as inspired by the Creator, rather than be ruled by corruptible men. Just as Moses delivered Levitical Law, so did our Founders deliver The Constitution. Although wise, (a blessing from God) our founders were simply deliverers of God's plan for man; the Truth. When I remember Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Henry and Lincoln I honor their resolute nature, their diligence and love for freedom…but they were just men, honored to serve man and God.

So I say, we are all mortal; imperfect and flawed. Reagan was not a “perfect man.” I do not revere Reagan because he was great, but I do revere the message he carried. A message of freedom, responsibility, morality, actions and consequences; a similar message to those passed to us by our founders. Reagan was humble, kind mannered, and strong. When he spoke people understood and were inspired to follow. Like a good father Reagan was predictable, and consistent, his actions were reasonable and logical. Reagan, like our founders, knew there are no “new ideas” and that there is “nothing new under the sun.” He stood for the old ways, the proven ways…the Truth. No he was not a god amongst men, but he inspired men. He brought out the best in men and within America. He knew that the United States of America was not great because of its land nor location; but by its ideals, the “American Ideal.”

...and to the Republic faux which it stands?

If you have been following the news lately, you probably heard that President Manuel Zelaya of Honduras was removed from power by his military for usurping the written law of their constitution; this man was not above the law. It looks to me like Honduras is a healthy constitutional republic; a far cry from ours.

Ours has morphed into a "faux-republic," with the executive order, the unprecedented appointment of Czars, policy-from-the-bench justices like Judge Soto' and the ever so powerful "Administrative branch of government," as Mark Levin summarized it so well in his book "Liberty and Tyranny." Perhaps the day the first executive order was handed down, our joint chiefs should have stood up and said, not so fast Mr. President, we are sworn to protect and defend the Constitution, and by your very title as an Executive you are outside your authority. Alas, "on little cat feet..."

Not only has our Constitutional Republic been circumvented by the leftists, so has our means of representative selection; the democratic election. It has turned into a farcical display that Tehran and pre-'90 Moscow would have been delighted with. We have a distracted decadent populace whose world view and subsequent voting is steered by a Pravda-esque media and a Hollywood that would make Hitler proud. Of course, beyond the shapers of world view we have the direct usurpers of democracy like ACORN, the defenders of "no-ID's required to vote" crowd and the local efforts of corrupt voting practices that rear up from Broward county to Washington state; many organized by big labor (shhhhh). Now, it is not beyond imagination to foresee, with a stroke of our “Dear Leader’s” pen, we may have an additional 12 to 20 million people (illegal immigrants) added to our voting roles as a supreme act of humanity, fairness and decency to a poor and oppressed people. A people oppressed by their own government as we cower from policies that might have forced Mexico off the path of third world corruption. But that is another diatribe all together.

Although all of these examples are a recipe for a faux-democracy, the 17th Amendment to the Constitution was probably the worst assault on the Republic of all. Before the 17th, Senators were elected by the State representatives rather than the populace. It is a state representatives job to be in touch with his constituent’s desires and spend much of their lives researching the complex issues; things “Joe six pack” does not have time nor perhaps the intellect or desire to learn. It was the wisest of all representatives (US Senators) to be elected by the wisest of the citizens (the state representatives). Today a senate seat is decided by who can spend the most, who controls the media message, and, if you happen to be a republican, who can keep their pants zipped up or their feet from tapping as you unload your daily grind. Our Constitutional Republic is a sad little puppet show; a faux-republic.

Congressman Baird,

I’m writing to ask you to please oppose ANY “anti gun bill” that includes ANY “gun ban” to repeal the Second Amendment to the Constitution.

I as a natural born citizen of the United States, do hereby demand that you vote “NO” on every unconstitutional bill to ban or confiscate the legally owned firearms of millions of law-abiding Americans. This includes the elimination of Gun Shows as proposed by the Obama Administration and Mr. Holder.

The founding fathers knew exactly what they were doing when they wrote the Second Amendment – they were giving the people the right to defend themselves against all threats – including the threat of an oppressive government.

Americans will be highly skeptical of any diversionary talk of “waiting periods”, “background checks” or “gun registration” and additional promises to enforce any new deeply flawed approaches.

If history is an accurate guide, banning guns would only embolden criminals and encourage crime leaving American’s defenseless and allow the uncontrolled and unacceptable to happen, making family security even worse than it is now.

Such legislation is a bad idea because it creates armed criminals to prey upon law abiding citizens. Further, it would be impossible to administer and even more unlikely to be enforced. Gun control is about controlling people, not making people safe.

That’s what is at stake here. Our freedom. Our future.

The most important job you have to do right now is to protect U.S. citizens Second Amendment Rights. Like millions of Americans, I’m sick and tired of the “inside the beltway” politics on this issue; I will NOT listen weasel words or slick excuses.

This issue is BLACK AND WHITE – there are no shades of gray! We need you to protect Americans RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS! Please oppose any gun bill, particularly if they include any gun ban provisions. I will be watching your vote on this issue very closely. Thank you.

Letter to Congressman Minnick: Sotomayor confirmation

Dear Congressman Minnick,

I write you today begging you to stand against the confirmation of Judge Sotomayor to the US Supreme court.

Being a man in the know, I am sure you have heard the typical sound bites concerning Sotomayor’s life experience as a woman and Latino, and how that should make her more wise than other people groups. Although I am not personally offended (I’m a white male) over her statement (she is entitled to her opinion, right or wrong) I do believe such a statement is a declaration of her inability to be objective. Although this statement has been given most of the “legs” in the media, her 2001 speech at Berkley is riddled with statements that should particularly exclude her as an objective justice. She explains over and over how her life experiences will affect her rulings. Her philosophy as I would describe it is postmodernist, relativist and incapable of objectivity; each descriptive is a complete contradiction to what the job description of a Supreme Court justice should be.

A Supreme Court Justice should be very close to a machine; their job is interpreting laws and delivering a verdict based upon the intent of those who handed down the law, not based upon their personal desires. It is your job, Congressman, to deliver the laws, written with the clarity present to make the intent unavoidable. You are the policy maker, not the judge. The Constitution is the Law, not the judge. If the Constitution fails to serve the people’s desires, or if the laws you and your equals pass, fail the people, then change them as the rule of law dictates. It was never our founder’s intentions that the one that holds the gavel be the one that is the law; if so, a scepter would have done just fine.

Perhaps Judge Roberts said it best during his confirmation hearings when he said, "Judges are like umpires. Umpires don't make the rules; they apply them." Judge Sotomayor could be likened to a game seven World Series home plate umpire wearing a NY Yankees hat during the game. I encourage you to read her full speech and act as an American Statesman would act. Please act in the spirit of Thomas Jefferson and not William Jefferson. Additionally, please don’t bother sending a response if it is one that tap dances around the crowded dance floor without stepping on anyone’s feet. There is a right and wrong to everything, toes will get stepped on. If you choose to be contrary to my position than please declare yours as such. For that you will earn at least my respect, but not likely my support.

Legal but Unjust (An open letter to the IDFG)

Here is the multiple choice question for the day

Which was invented first?
a) The center fire rifle
b) The bow and arrow
c) The muzzle loading rifle

To any one sane this is a simple test, and strangely enough the more primitive the armament the less advantage the hunter retains. However, the Idaho Fish and Game (IDFG) seems to operate upon anti-logic. In Idaho with the purchase of a standard hunting license one buys the right to wield a modern firearm in the field. Of course tags are extra as they should be. But if one wishes to give more advantage to the game animal and chooses a more primitive arm, the hunter must pay extra. In the case of a muzzle loader $18.25 and in the case of an archer $18.25. Archery and muzzle loader hunters must pay extra to be disadvantaged; that seems backwards to me. Of course the logic behind the IDFG is fees and funds. Paying extra for a disadvantage seems illogical.

Secondly, should we not consider archery as the de facto baseline hunting weapon? It was invented first the muzzle loaders second and the center fire rifle third. So again would it not be logical for a baseline hunting license to include the right to wield the most basic arms rather than the most modern? I would suggest in a logical world it might go something like this. Hunting license includes archery, additional endorsements may be purchased at the following fees- muzzle loader permit $5 center fire permit $10 enter fire with telescoping site $15. Not only is such a scheme logical, based on sporting advantage and tenure of technology, but it would also raise much more money due to the vastly larger numbers of rifle hunters. The latter should perk up the ears at the IDFG. The present system is unfair and backwards. It would almost seem like they are picking on a minority, which is what a constitutional republic is supposed to prevent. There is a right and wrong in every matter, wrongness substantiated by a majority may be legal but it is still wrong. I believe Ayn Rand called it, “a legal injustice.” The present fee structure is wrong!

Rights and Responsibility

Today, our country faces a myriad of issues, especially the small businessman and his employees. We are rapidly turning into a semi-socialist state; taxed and mandated. Welfare, food stamps, low-income housing, childcare, healthcare, and other government entitlements are taking a bite out of every family in our nation. Taking care of the widowed, orphaned and mentally and physically disadvantaged is our social and Biblical responsibility. However, a large segment of the “entitled” are taking advantage of the workingman. Unpaid child support, tax evasion, Medicare abuse, and countless other frauds are biting us every day. Substance abuse plays an enormous role in these problems, both socially and economically. Out of one pocket people use food stamps to buy foodstuffs of questionable value and the other pocket use cash to buy beer and cigarettes. This makes me furious! I need to take a deep breathe and settle down as not to loose my compassion. Is it my responsibility to pay for the “entitled’s” substance abuse and cable TV? NO! It is not yours either!

One right our forefathers reserved for us is the right to pursue happiness. Since childhood each of us learned basic rights, responsibilities and rewards, actions and consequences. Such as…“If you clean your room I’ll give you a cookie” (responsibility, rights and reward.) Or; “If you draw on the walls you’ll get a spanking” (action and consequences). The choices we made as children effected our pursuit of happiness. Each “so called” right we have in America is nothing more than an allowed privilege. The right to vote, to drive, to drink alcohol, to smoke cigarettes, to have cable TV, to eat microwave popcorn are all privileges NOT RIGHTS.

I am quite happy to help the under-privileged and I also believe if given the opportunity churches and other groups would handle it quite well. In lieu of common sense perhaps we should tie entitlements to responsibility. My proposal; Anyone who is behind on taxes, child support, and legal fines or is taking government assistance such as welfare, food stamps or low-income housing should be considered “at rears with society.” Immediately when someone becomes, at rears, their right to purchase alcohol or cigarettes should be suspended. This will serve two purposes. The first, it will free up monies to be spent on food, childcare and other worthwhile family pursuits. The other is also obvious; substance abuse would go down, and so would the bad decisions made by the person using the substance. Such as drinking and driving, spousal/child abuse and basic laziness. Secondly the right to vote should be suspended. Unsuccessful people do not make successful decisions! Thirdly, for the worst offenders the deadbeat dads and other tax evaders, who aren’t even trying to do their duty. Suspend their driver’s license, after taking away the other privileges.

Seem harsh? Think I’m going overboard? Than you go to a liquor/grocery store on the wrong side of the tracks. You’ll see two things; good hard working people getting just enough to survive. And you’ll see a person with two dirty kids who buys questionable foodstuffs with your tax dollars; with “their money” buy a gallon of vodka and a carton of cigarettes. Those two dirty kids deserve more. Do you think Mama or Papa sit down with the kids and do their homework? Not likely, because it’s the governments job to teach the kids. Isn’t it?

We need to get back to the basics to solve complex problems…anything else is just a Band-Aid. Rights and responsibilities, actions, consequences and rewards.

The Fetal Position: A Prospective

In a plea for continuing funding for her research, Dr. Elita Desdemona, (senior research coordinator at Harvard) asked President Obama this week to, “please continue and enhance the governments funding of embryonic stem cell research.”

In her 1500 page report, Dr. Desdemona sited, “although we have not, to this day, delivered to humanity a cure for cancer, diabetes or Parkinson’s disease; it is very important that we continue our work.” She continued, “You just never know when the day may come when a discovery will be made that will change life on earth as we know it. Imagine the day when there will be no disease, no sickness; the great minds of this world could live on.”

She added, “Although the thought of a day when life long statesmen, and donors to the world like, Edward (Ted) Kennedy, and Robert Bird, would be free of mental and physical ailments, sounds good; we must consider the counter of such miraculous discoveries.”

I asked Dr. Desdemona, if she thought of the implications of an over populated earth as a result of her forthcoming discoveries. She answered, “Yes, I have thought about the implications of, ‘healing the world’ via embryonic stem cell research. Population control, and its importance can not be under appreciated.” She elaborated, “Such discoveries carry a price. Longer life in general can be a good thing or a bad thing. One intelligent person can change the world, yet one ignorant person may spend his life watching Nascar, driving SUVs and going to gun shows; a waste of resources really a waste of a life.” She continued with a glint of hope in her eye, “Science has already discovered, through genetic mapping research, which couples are likely to produce more disease tolerant, and dare I say potentially more intelligent offspring. Since we are all citizens of the world we need to open a dialogue. We need to talk about responsible reproduction, we need a plan. A plan -voluntary at first- of genetic compatibility testing. With every new life we must determine whether the, to be born, will be likely to give to Mother Earth or take from her. We should ask like minded responsible citizens to opt out of reproduction, or choose another more suitable genetic donor for their off spring.” She concluded, “It’s for the good of the earth. To completely study the effects of such a societal shift I must, concede my opinion to the, Institute for Genetics and Population Studies (IGPS), founded by my good friend Cora Weiss.”

In a follow up to yesterday’s story on the tireless work of Dr. Elita Desdemona, this reporter commends the efficiency of the Obama administration.

In response to Dr. Desdemona’s plea for more embryonic stem cell funding, President Obama with a stroke of a pen, not only funded the request, but added to it by 1.5 billion dollars only one day after the heart felt plea of Desdemona.

Upon signing the Executive order, President Obama proudly said, “The days of business as usual Washington politics are over. The days of action and change are here! Funding this project is far too important, for it to be stalled in congress. These people need the money now, [pause, emphasis added] to continue their research; not when the partisan politicians feel like it or get around to it.” “I will do all in my power as President of the United States of America, to keep the hope, of a better world alive.”

President Obama has been summarily criticized as if in lockstep, by all nine Republican Senators for his “over use of the Executive order,” However, CNN's latest public opinion poll shows most urban youth agree with the Presidents new streamlined approach to governance. In a brief interview with a young man on the street, Yaser Talleen said, “Barack is doin’ a butt kickin job! My assistance check has never been late, I can’t say that for that Bush guy, but he was just stupid.”

In a phone call last night, this reporter thought he was going to have the pleasure to tell Dr. Desdemona of the latest Executive order in her favor. Unfortunately, President Obama had already text'd her on his famed Blackberry device. However, while talking to Dr. Desdemona, I noticed a down ness in her voice. Upon further prying, she propounded with a heart stricken tone.

“Getting the funding is great, and I thank the President, but I am so sad to say we are quickly running out of fetuses, [she corrected] embryos to perform research on. I know we will find places to direct the funds and continue the research; as hamstrung as it may be. It would be so much easier if we just had more embryos.” She continued and told me the story of Pandora Scatola.

Pandora Scatola is a brave young lady. She is very active in the community doing things such as donating her time registering voters and the like. In January, tragedy struck her life. While walking home from a party she claimed she was raped by a white police officer who was “lending assistance.” Such an allegation was not a surprise to many in the neighborhood. One young man (who in fear of retribution wished to remain nameless) commented on the allegations involving the police officer, in an insolent tone, “Go figure.”

Since the case has not gone to trial she could speak no more of the incident.

The “alleged” rape has left her life in a shambles. She has sincere issues with trust, and says, “She battles hatred every day.” Above all of the emotional torment and the lifelong scars on her soul, Pandora found out she is pregnant with the rapist’s child. “Just knowing this animals seed grows inside me makes me ill,” said Miss Scatola. In a strange twist of fate, Pandora Scatola and Dr. Elita Desdemona have a mutual friend; a secretary at Dr. Desdemona’s office. Her name is Toki; for sake of her anonymity we withhold her last name. Toki shared Dr. Desdemona’s embryo shortage issue with Miss Scatola in passing. It did not take two seconds for Pandora to connect the dots. “I want to donate my fetus to Dr. Elita Scatola’s research. I want something good to come out of something so terrible.” She added. “I am going to have an abortion anyways, why not use the fetus instead of throw it away?”

As our telephone interview concluded, Dr. Desdemona left us with these final thoughts. “Miss Scatola’s sacrifice is a sincere offering…I’m touched. [her voice broke] When I told her it was not legal for me to take her fetus due to archaic laws of this land, she was very angry…almost inconsolable. ‘I just want to do good.’ She said. Then, I promised Pandora one thing. I promised I would send out a plea to President Obama. I take this news opportunity to do so.

President Obama, please recall March, 9th 2009. You may not remember, but that was the date you freed the world from Bush’s medieval embryonic stem cell research policy. That was the date you allowed us to experiment on previously frozen human embryos. That was a great day a day of great reason, a day you delivered on your promise of hope. I call on you to remember your reasoning that day, the reasoning spoken by most was this simple; those embryo were going to get thrown away why not use them. Please consider the offering of my dear friend Pandora Scatola. Please allow her to donate her embryo to research. It will just get thrown away, why not use it. What’s the difference?” In a brief private email to the President he said he would consult newly appointed Supreme Court Chief Justice Hillary Clinton on the issue.

Has Capitalism Failed?

Just look at the mess the world is in today. Has Capitalism failed? Well that is what the leftists would like you to believe. I would contend our market is nowhere near a capitalist system. Government interference has rendered it almost unrecognizable and getting worse all the time.

Every time the Federal Reserve turns on the printing press, without destroying an equal amount of old currency, they produce counterfeit dollars. Every dollar in existence before the creation of new currency has a tangible value in the market as determined by those who use it. Currency is merely a token of the value of labor and assets, and that is all that backs the value. Ink and paper hold no value alone; they represent no actual good or service. Infusing un-backed money in the market is akin to...let me use an analogy.

Say you own a Ming Dynasty vase; one of only 100 known to exist. The value of the vase is enhanced by its rarity, and its value is determined in the fair market based upon demand. Let also say all 100 of these vases have been known to exist for 100 years. Over the 100 years, many of the vases have traded hands, and by doing so the value has been established via supply and demand. Lets say today’s value was $10,000, and based upon comparison with commodity indexes, the actual value of the vases have remained stable over the 100 years. One day, out of the blue, 50 more identical vases were discovered and hit the market. The vases look the same and were made by the same people but the question is would they (and the ones previously known) be worth the same as they were before? Of course not. What would they be worth? That is the crux of the issue.

Establishing a new value would take time since all of the vases would not be on the market at the same time. Of course there would be appraisers and dealers that would attempt to set or influence a market price but the true value could only be established in the market with actual money changing hands. This is exactly what printing money does to the market; confuses, and dilutes it. Lets add one more tad bit of confusion into the mix; credit.

Let’s say during the establishment of the new value of the vases, a few people bought the vases and put them on credit. The newly purchased vases, bought on credit, established a baseline to the new value of all the vases; or did it, was it real? Now lets also assume those who bought the vases on credit (and established a new value as a result) were unable to meet the terms of credit and the vases were repossessed. The market was inflated by false demand, due to the “buyers” ability to pay. Credit, skewed the value of the market. After repossession of the vase, the creditor must make liquid, the vase (sell it). Since the banks are not in the retail sales business and time and use of money is their business, the bank will forego top market prices to recover capital (sell it for less than it’s worth). Discounted sales in such a circumstance recess the market, lowering the value of all of the vases to some extent. The use of credit not only can falsify the market to the positive but the negative as well. The little credit vase analogy is almost identical in nature to the housing crisis we face today. Printing and borrowing money is an enemy to a functional capitalist system. Printing and borrowing money is a weapon of mass confusion. Don’t lose faith in the capitalist system… if you are younger than 100 years old you probably have never really seen it in action. America, we need to get back to the basics. The basics will yield slow, steady, unrelenting growth.

Guns: True Equality

Physically, all humans are not created equal. Some are weaker due to genetics and some weaker because of their sex. This is a simple fact of life. Before guns and even the invention of the club for that matter, the strongest physical specimens would take from whoever they pleased, whatever they pleased. Humans are unique; we can reason and adapt. In order for the weak to survive they needed to level the playing field; as individuals and as cultures. From the first thrown stone, mankind has had a need to adapt and develop weaponry. Some developments were as a result of protection/equalization and some for conquest. If we as humans did not have this ability to reason and develop weapons, we most likely would have developed a natural eugenic system like the animals...the smallest and weakest would be culled; disallowed to breed, and fall at the hands of the dominant. Thankfully we are not animals.

The Chinese culture of old is a great example. They so wished to protect their culture they isolated themselves from the world; in turn genetic isolation. They developed as smaller beings over many generations. As foes of greater stature arose and sought conquest, the options for the Chinese were limited. A genetic overhaul would take generations, population expansion, carried the cost of sustaining and took time, and subservience was not an option. As a result of need, the Chinese developed new methods of combat (martial arts), advanced metallurgy for swords and such, they designed and built a Great Wall, and eventually developed gun powder. They developed an intellectual and technological superiority to counter their genetic deficiencies.

Fast foreword 2009- Men still seek dominance. There are those amongst us those that will take from others if they can. Some nations if they had the means would seek conquest; if they had advantage. The USA has built a "Great Wall" against those would be conquestious nations; we call it a nuclear arsenal. As humans, each of us seek freedom from oppression. None of us wish to be robbed, raped, or controlled simply as a result of another’s dominant advantage. Guns are the equalizer. An 89 year old wheel chair bound grandmother with a Kimber 1911 .45ACP is an equal to 9 of the biggest meanest strongest men on earth (18 IF SHE CAN CHANGE CLIPS QUICKLY). Taking guns from the lawful makes them far more oppressable. Even if every gun on earth magically vanished the wicked nature of the unsaved man would still remain.

Common Sense Alcohol Control

From the years 1920 thru 1933 alcohol production and consumption was illegal in the US; this period was known as Prohibition. Although a failed policy amongst the people, the purpose and intent of the law was a noble endeavor. The statesmen of the time realized, alcohol was a certain vice to the people of this nation. The consumption of alcohol was and is known to contribute to, vagrancy, promiscuity, violence, financial ruin, unproductive behavior, sexual assault, motor vehicle impairment, and a general lack of good judgment. Not all people who use alcohol behave in the manner before described but many do; too many too ignore. Statistics to substantiate alcohol’s negative affect on society, financially, morally and physically are not hard to come by. In its wake alcohol consumption, leaves victims; the self inflicted variety and the innocent. The mere statistics of the tangible harm to the people in this nation is a cause to act. By acting we can not only prevent thousands of deaths, rapes and murders, we can also prevent the inevitable intangible negative affects to our great nation, such as; poverty, depression, broken homes, unproductiveness and littering.

My solution and the forthcoming proposed bill is not a renaissance of prohibition, but merely common sense alcohol control (HB Al-2009a).

Proposal component 1) - Identification marking
Every container of alcohol in the most individual form, regardless of the size and potency must have an individual identification mark. This identification mark bust bear the, manufacture date, location of manufacture, potency and quantity. The ID mark must be unalterable and uniform in location. The expense for the marking equipment is upon each manufacturer. Each State government that passes this bill may require additional information on the “ID mark” upon their own accord. All equipment and expense thereof required to comply with individual state requirements shall be at the expense of the manufacturer.

Component 2) - Tracking
All marked alcohol will be recorded with each state government before the alcohol makes entry into the state, including all of the information on the means of transport.
Tracking and documentation shall be reported at delivery from warehouse to retail location. A transfer in ownership of each container must be recorded when delivered to a retail location and from retail to purchaser.

Component 3) - Registration and liability
Each buyer/holder of any alcoholic beverage must have a license to possess and/or consume to take ownership. Each state may of its own free will, shall determine the requirements of license.

Private Citizen requirements and 3a)- The standard requirements for a private citizen license holder will be- Legal citizenship, legal age, absence of criminal record, and payment for the processing of the identification license and administration. Additional possible license requirements (per state) may include-Proof of payment of- State taxes, child support, moving violations, stable mental health, absence of alcohol abuse in family history, sufficient credit score, alcohol safety training, and proof that no one in the household receives government assistance, with exception of social security recipients over the age of 63. Additionally it may be required that each container (even if in a locked and secure cabinet) have individual cap locks as a redundant method of prevention against underage consumption.

Retailer 3b) - Each retailer, at their own expense will possess the equipment to scan and report each sale. Loss or suspension of license will occur, in the event of, sale to an unlicensed buyer. Failure to report theft of alcohol, failure to allow random audit, failure to pay transaction fees, failure to report broken or damaged containers, falsely reporting broken or damaged containers, will also result in license suspension or termination, possible criminal charges and seizure of all alcohol.

Special sales (Bar, Tavern, events) 3c) - Sale of individualized containers shall comply by the same rules as “retailers.” Bars and Taverns shall comply with additional regulations as they typically re-sell alcohol packaged in larger containers as smaller portions. Example keg beer sold as draft and liquor sold by the shot. These larger containers shall only be sold to bars and taverns since they are containers that might be used for binge drinking. These especially dangerous containers deserve special laws; they shall be referred to as vessels of mass consumption. All keg type sales from a bar to a licensed buyer must be recorded by weight. All presale spillage and over-pour must be contained for the purpose of weight auditing the sales. Each waste pour over container must be registered and prepared for“water down audit.” A 16 oz grace for unaccounted for beer will be given per keg. Similar rules apply to liquor and wine.

Government held containers 4) - All government held empty bottles, cans, kegs and otherwise must not be resold for reuse. Each vessel must be mutilated and destroyed, recorded, documented and accompanied with a, “Certificate of Destruction.”

Purpose for Identification, Tracking and licensing- The primary purpose for this orderly distribution of alcohol is due to its dangerous nature. Even though most that buy and consume alcohol do it in a responsible manor, many do not. Some adults buy alcohol for teens or abusers or felons; some stores sell to teens, abusers and felons. Upon purchase of every container the buyer becomes liable, partially or fully, for every misdeed, construed to be perpetrated by the consumption of the specific container[s] of alcohol. By placing the liability upon the licensed purchaser, the licensed purchaser would be less likely to, resell or give alcohol to the under aged or unstable. We must face it alcohol is the problem; not the people who drink it. It must be controlled by common sense Alcohol control legislation.

Marriage Belongs to God, Not Man

Marriage is an institution of God. For those of you who don't believe in God, it is an institution of religion. Therefore, I say it is un-Constitutional for government to endorse or engage in the administration of traditional marriage.

It has always been in a government’s best interest to encourage and reward people who choose a life of sexual monogamy and financial singularity (aka "marriage"). I won't go through all of the benefits to society, but they are many and certainly worth reward. The question is, in its "best case scenario," does homosexual marriage benefit the country or even the populous? My answer would be (discounting the negative effects) yes; there are some societal benefits to sexually monogamous and financially singular homosexual relations (arguably less than traditional marriage, but benefits nonetheless).

Establishing that sexual monogamy and financially singular behavior between two people are of benefit to society, it is the government’s job to incentivize such a voluntary commitment. Does the government have the right to use the word marriage? Marriage traditionally, has been defined as a life long oath, sworn to God, between a man and a woman. The sworn oath is different from religion to religion. Is it government’s job or right to provide administration for God? I don't think the Creator of the Universe needs much help in that regard. The interconnection of marriage and government comes from a day when the government was for all intents and purposes, property of a religion; the U.S. is not.

So today we argue on homo/hetero marriage. There should be no argument. Actually, both atheist and believer should, for different reasons, be fighting the governmental use of the word marriage. To an atheist, the use of the word marriage carries religious connotations. To a believer, use of the word could be considered heretical. Particularly when the government itself can not by its Constitution, make a law establishing religion (endorsing a particular God/god).

Here is my proposal in a short context. Get rid of government defined marriage. Marriage belongs to God not government. However, the government should endorse and reward a contract between two. The contract should be straight forward and direct. I would call it the, “Contract of Sexual Monogamy and Financial Singularity” (CSMFS). Breaching the terms of the CSMFS, would result in forfeiture of all future government rewards or entitlements. Like any tax deduction, shelter or tax credit, breaching the terms of the CSMFS (such as promiscuity), would result in certain punishments that would start at simple loss of privilege and possibly grow to tax evasion and imprisonment. Like any contract, if you agree to terms in order to reap a benefit; breech should also carry consequences.

Marriage in America is a joke. It is a pledge sworn in front of a judge with no consequences. The government SHOULD NOT be in the business of administration of God's tenets.

The Great American Bribe: Statehood Lost

The Senate, Congress and President of the United States have recently passed a partisan spending bill, AKA “The Stimulus Package,” for the total amount of $787 BILLION dollars. To put that into perspective, if one dollar bills were lined up end to end, 787 billion dollar bills would go to the moon 312 times, with enough change left over to buy a yacht or two. Or, if you please, a five lane highway all the way to the moon covered completely with dollar bills. I use an astronomical analogy as to gain the astronomical perspective of the situation. That is a gob of money. Money we don’t have. Each State is to claim its portion of the loot; in the case of Idaho a rough calculation based upon population would be 2.6 BILLION, or one trip to the moon (if it were doled out based upon population).

Although a vast majority of productive Americans oppose this insane spending bill, it seems to be the soup of the day. Idaho Governor Butch Otter had some early reservations on claiming the money, on grounds of fiscal responsibility. More recently however, Governor Otter pointed (a paraphrase) out that failure to take the money would hurt Idahoans. Even if we refused we would still be responsible for paying our portion of the debt. Such an argument makes good sense, on the surface, but looking only at the surface was the genesis of this problem. Let’s go a bit deeper.

Since our dollar is not tied to the gold standard, its "calculable value" is quite ambiguous, it may seem. Even the gold standard was a simplistic approach as a currency, due to its limited uses. Today currency is simply an intermediary token of goods or services, a method of making tangible the value of ones labor or assets. In an economy- with a fixed amount of money in circulation- as productivity rises on labor or land, so then would the value of each dollar. A mans worth is entirely definable. However, we do not live in that world; the amount of currency in our system is no longer fixed. With the printing press and the credit market, a big monkey wrench is thrown into the mix.

If money is printed and circulated without regard to the connection to productivity, or more simply un-backed by a good or service, then all of the money in circulation, including the backed money, is worth less than it was before due to the indistinguishability of the backed and un-backed money; the money is counterfeit. In a sense and in actuality, every time money is printed and circulated, every working person is getting a pay cut. Even though your check may be the same, the dollars are worth less due to the diluted currency.

Credit is merely an agreement to receive a token of estimated productivity (currency), before actual productivity, with promise repayment with future productivity (principal) and increased productivity (interest), over time (term). Quite simply, in order for credit to work there must be a productivity increase, whether personal, business, state or nation. Of course this is a very brief description of financial matters.

Before I get entirely to the point, let’s take one more satellite spur on the American rail line. America was founded as a constitutional republic of united, constitutional, democratically-elected representative republics (states). States were not made states simply because they look cool on the map. Our founders knew, in order for peace, prosperity and freedom to endure, smaller governments, more connected to the people and geographic regions, should be the primary means of governance. However, in order to better fend off foreign invasion, improve trade relations with other countries, administer and a manage currency and insure intercourse between states, the states were to be united in those endeavors. Thus The United States of America, a government with distributed power and jurisdiction. This arrangement was quite ingenius. The power was close to the people, as our founders wished it.

On April 10, 1987, Idaho enacted a law that changed the drinking age from 19 to 21 years of age. Such a law was certainly within the authority of the State, as outlined in our founding documents. However, for whatever reason, Idaho did not wish to make such a law, yet they did. Why? Idaho was extorted by the Federal government. (Extortion: Illegal use of one's official position or powers to obtain property, funds, or patronage.) The Federal government threatened to withhold highway funds from the state of Idaho if the law was not changed; 21 means 21. Although I believe alcohol has no redeeming qualities, each state has the constitutional authority to rule in social matters such as the drinking age. Yet, whether considered bribery or extortion, the threat of withholding tax dollars previously generated in the state was an effective and apparently "legal" way for those at the top, nationally, to take power from where it belongs: at the state level. We are really only one step away from an oligarchy, but that is another story.

Stimulus 2009: $787,000,000,000 worth of printed and borrowed money, to be distributed, spent, given and loaned to states, business, government, and non-profits, with intent of growing the economy. Simply looking at the direction of the funds, one can see that a vast majority of the money will develop no growth in the economy past its first generation of spending. Quite the inverse, the value of the new dollar (which is bastardized by its origin and not backed by productivity) will be determined and used as it was born, with reckless ambiguity. Infusing this kind of “money” into the system will only breed confusion. What will a dollar be worth?
By now you might get the hint I am not in favor of the “Stimulus Plan.” However, I do not think the dilution and confusion of our currency system will be the “end of America” as we know it. The Devil is in the details, or lack thereof in this case. On February 20, 2009, President Obama, while addressing the United States Conference of Mayors, said regarding State oversight and direction of “Stimulus” funds that if state-level authorities propose a money-wasting project, he will "call them out on it and use the full power of my office and our administration to stop it [Emphasis added]." This little statement was left largely unexplored by the press. I think most Americans wrote it off as the President beating his chest, but I see it quite differently.

Again, I will go a bit off topic to wrap up the point. “The Pockets Rationalization” is a term I use to describe how people or governments fool themselves; let me explain. Say a man has four pockets and as a matter of discipline he uses his back two pockets for large bills and large monthly expenditures. He sets this money aside in his back pockets because it is less convenient to get a hold of and he has trained himself that the act of reaching to the back pocket is only to be done under strict and regimented conditions. His front two pockets are for food money and fun money. He has built himself a simple budget. As long as the man stays disciplined, his fun pocket or his two rear pockets will become fuller. However, if the man lapses on his discipline or has an unexpected expense, the man will draw from his back pocket to eat -- he must. When it comes right down to it all of the pockets are in the same pants and the pocket game is just that, a game.

Back to “Stimulus 2009.” The transfer of funds from the Federal Government to a State with the loose directive "to be used for stimulus" and with the warning from the President that if used improperly he will "call them out on it and use the full power of my office and our administration to stop it [Emphasis added]" is an invisible-strings-attached contract. The President at his discretion will determine what is right and what is wrong based upon his “judgment” and not based upon predetermined conditions.

Here is where it gets sticky and “The Pockets Rationalization” comes into play. As an example, let’s say a city had plans for a library and had some funds set aside for it. Rather than using the money set aside, they decide to use their “Stimulus” money for the library instead. The original library money goes back into the general fund. Then, as an alteration to the general budget in order to grow their economy, they allow for tax exemptions as bait to draw a prominent computer manufacturer into the area. It can hardly be said, with any logic expressed, that tax concessions in order to pull employment into an area is counter productive, if the net income gain to the jurisdiction increases. However, many not-so-clever minds would applaud the library as an act of unquestioned altruism yet damn the tax relief as “giving money to the greedy corporations,” using a form of the “The Pockets Rationalization” as argument of the intermingled funds. A conservative state such as Idaho may fall victim to this irrational thinking in many regards. By accepting the “Stimulus” money, we open the door to scrutiny, micromanagement and strong-arm tactics at the federal level, mostly Executive.

Some obvious ways for Idaho to increase its GDP is to cut trees, grow stuff, dig mines, and develop/re-develop the industries that feed off of these. The wealth of Idaho lies in its people, farms and forests, all renewable resources. In times like these, we must exploit these renewable, manageable riches. Such industries are hardly condoned by those in the party which control the Federal Government at this time. By accepting the “Stimulus money,” Idaho, or any other state, is inviting the vampire in the house. Due to the intermingling of funds, we are subject to Presidential oversight in all matters, enforceable by his full power, which includes withholding funding as in the 1987 drinking age extortion.

Wealth can not be created by a printing press nor borrowed from China; only an illusion of created wealth can be achieved by simply getting money moving around the country. We must make stuff, grow stuff, cut trees, and the like. All else is busy work. If Idaho decides to revive a forgotten industry such as timber, even in a small way via the pockets of the state, would we not be open to scrutiny by the puppet master with invisible strings? Matters of the state and its people must be administered by our state government, as the founders intended. Every state has its own unique dynamics and must be able to manage them in house, at the state level. This is not the view of many in power today. They seek a more centralized, more powerful government, and statehood contradicts this philosophy. I fully believe accepting “Stimulus” money is a nail in the coffin of Statehood. Please, Governor Otter, Send it back! As a closing note, the following numbers represent simple interest at 6 percent annually on 2.6 billion dollars (Idaho’s share of the debt based upon population).
